    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory mortar excellent in corrosion resistance to a slug and adhesiveness with a refractory brick in a container for a molten iron preliminary treatment such as a furnace the inner lining of which is constructed of the refractory brick, especially a hot metal ladle or a hot metal mixer car.SOLUTION: There is provided the refractory mortar having a refractory composition comprised of an alumina raw material, a silicon carbide raw material, a carbon raw material, and a titania raw material, where the refractory mortar contains the alumina raw material of 50 mass% to 85 mass%, the silicon carbide raw material of 5 mass% to 20 mass%, the carbon raw material of 5 mass% to 15 mass% and the titania raw material of 1 mass% to 15 mass% based on 100 mass% of the refractory composition, and further contains a dispersant of 0.1 mass% to 1.0 mass% by outer percentage. In Figure 3, No.1-2 is an erosion speed of the refractory mortar and No.1-5, No.1-7 and No.3-4 are erosion speeds of refractory mortars of comparative examples.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide refractory for slip casting construction, having high heat shock resistance, hardly causing crack, having a dense structure and capable of being constructed with low moisture content.SOLUTION: The refractory for slip casting construction contains AlOand SiOas main components, where total of AlOand SiOis 92 mass% or more and the content of AlOis in the range of 50 to 70 mass%. In the refractory for slip casting construction, 5 to 30 mass% of a high alumina spherical particle having the content of AlOin the range of 50 to 85 mass% and a repose angle of 32° or less is used in the refractory for slip casting and further alumina cement of 3 to 10 mass% is contained as a binder.
