    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for a heat insulating coating film capable of easily predicting a time until separation in using it at high temperature without breaking the heat insulating coating film and to provide its evaluation device. SOLUTION: This evaluation method of a heat insulating coating film is used for evaluating a heat insulating coating film formed of ceramics containing, as a main component, ZrO2 coated on the surface of a base material for enhancing heat resistance of the heat resistant alloy base material for high temperature with at least one or more kinds selected from Y2 O3 , Dy2 O3 and Yb2 O3 added. In this evaluation method, m-phase detected on the surface of the heat insulating coating film is measured, and a time until the separation of the heat insulating coating film is predicted based on the measurement result.
