摘要： PURPOSE:To simplify a swaging stage and to make improvement in the yield of materials by sandwiching and holding both front and rear ends of a work piece by compression respectively with push rods and integrally moving the two push rods, thereby feeding the push rods into the spacing between a pair of dies. CONSTITUTION:Both front and rear ends of the work piece 10 are sandwiched and held by compression respectively with the 1st and 2nd push rods 11, 12. A selector valve 18 is set at the position b to boost a 2nd liquid pressure cylinder 14 and to operate a piston 14a forward, thereby feeding the work piece 10 into the spacing between the sides 6a and 6b. The tapered part of the work piece 10 is striken by the tapered part 6c of the dies 6a, 6b and is thereby swaged. The selector valve 18 is then set at the position a to move the piston 13a of a 1st liquid pressure cylinder 13 forward and to cause the piston 14a of the 2nd liquid pressure cylinder 14 to be actuated backward by the repulsive force of a spring 14b. The spacing between the two rods 11, 12 is expanded to release the sandwiching and holding of the work piece 10 by compression.

CONSTITUTION:A line base 2 for supplying a material to be worked 1, the beating device 3 of induction heating, etc. for executing the rotary swaging at a recrystallization temperature or above, a rotary swaging device 4 and a winder 5 are placed continuously in said order. According to such a constitution, a good product can be obtained, and especially, when a die by an appropriate die design is used, the efficient working can be executed with the high reduction rate of area and also at the high speed. In this regard, as for said difficult workability material, an Ni-Ti compound shape memory alloy is desirable. Also, as necessary, a straightening machine 6 is provided on the entry of the heating device 3.
