    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service system that normally allows a user to charge and repeatedly use a secondary battery and exchanges a battery pack for a charged battery pack without managing the amount of charge/discharge and predicting the cycle degradation of the battery pack when the battery pack is degraded or the battery pack cannot be charged.
      SOLUTION: There is provided the battery exchange service system in which a terminal 100 is connected to a management server 200. The terminal 100 includes an information obtaining part 122 that obtains battery information and user information; a charging and discharging part 124 that charges and discharges the battery pack; and a power information generation part 126 that generates information on an amount of electricity based on charging and discharging. The management server includes a battery information database 204 that stores battery information distributed; a contractor information database 206 that stores contractor information; a battery information verification part 210 that verifies the battery information; a user information verification part 212 that verifies the user information by the contractor information; and a charge calculation part 208 that calculates a charge based on the information on the amount of electricity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the malfunction of an authentication circuit for authenticating a battery pack.
      SOLUTION: A signal line (T terminal line) for reading the potential of a thermistor TH providing the intermediate potential of a power supply and the ground to detect a temperature is also used as a transmission path for data transmission and reception between the battery pack and a mainframe. A master authentication circuit 11 and a slave authentication circuit 21 are provided with level-adjusting circuits 13, 23 connected with the signal line through a voltage comparison circuit. The level-adjusting circuits 13, 23 are constituted to correct signals applied to the signal line larger or smaller than an unstable area voltage and output them to input terminals of the authentication circuits 12, 22 so that the unstable area voltages are not applied to the input terminals. Output circuits 14, 24 superimpose authentication information on the signal line alternately in authentication, respectively, which are received and authenticated by the level-adjusting circuits 23, 13, respectively.
