摘要： PURPOSE: To simplify a structure for supporting pads and reduce the weight of the structure, by supporting only a side part of each pad with regard to the direction of rotation of a disc so that the pad can slide in the axial direction of the disc.
CONSTITUTION: A pad supporting pin 11, which penerates holes 4B, 5B, is provided at first supporting facets 10 which are provided on a caliper holder 1 so that the facets 10 can be placed in contact with the front end faces 4A, 5A of pads 4, 5. A recess 13, through which a disc 2 extends, is provided in the center of the first supporting facets 10 and second supporting facets 12 which are next to the formers. Each of the pads 4, 5 is supported at one side on the caliper holder 1 so that the pads slide only on their front end faces 4A, 5A in the axial direction of the disc 2. Since braking torque which is caused when the pads 4, 5 push the disc 2 under braking in forward movement is directly transmitted from the pads 4, 5 to the first supporting faces 10 of the caliper holder 1, no excessive force acts to calipers 6 etc.
