    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caliper brake device capable of inhibiting frictional heat, which occurs during slidable contact between a brake shoe and a disc, from being transmitted to an elastic film.SOLUTION: A caliper brake device 100 includes: a guide plate 41 which supports a brake shoe 30; an anchor pin 51 which supports the guide plate 41 and is provided in a caliper body 10 so as to move forward and backward; a piston 70 provided in the caliper body 10 so as to move forward and backward; a piston plate 64 which is fixed to the piston 70 and is supported by the anchor pin 51; an elastic film 63 which is provided so as to define a pressure chamber 62 in the caliper body 10 and moves the brake shoe 30 through the piston 70, the piston plate 64, and the guide plate 41; and an intermediate member 65 which is disposed between the piston plate 64 and the guide plate 41. Disposing the intermediate member 65 between the piston plate 64 and the guide plate 41 forms a gap between the piston plate 64 and the guide plate 41.
