      SOLUTION: In the cleaning method of contaminated soil, vibration is applied to earth particles in a contaminated area contaminated with contaminant in the given layer in the ground, air or water is passed through the contaminated area to carry the contaminant with the air or water to recover the contaminant together with the air or water, to thereby clean the contaminated soil. Jetting of air or water to the contaminated area causes vibration of the earth particles.

A lower end of the steel piling section 20 is buried in the contaminated area 4 of the unsaturated hardly gas/water permeation layer 2 and vibration can be imparted to soil particles in the contaminated area 4 by driving/operating the vibro-hammer 10.
