摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat pipe sandwich panel constituting the structure of a satellite in which a heating apparatus is prevented effectively from temperature rise by employing carbon fiber reinforced carbon at a part of a skin material touching a heat pipe. SOLUTION: A heat pipe sandwich panel comprises a skin material 6 of carbon fiber reinforced plastic composed of continuous carbon fiber and matrix of organic material for in-plane reinforcement, an aluminum honeycomb core 2, an adhesive 3 and an embedded heat pipe 1 wherein a heating apparatus 4 is fixed to the outside of the skin material 6. A part of the skin material 6, preferably the part for mounting the heating apparatus 4, is made of a skin material 7 employing carbon fiber reinforced carbon. Since the skin material 7 exhibits excellent thermal conductivity even in the out-plane direction, heat resistance can be decreased between the heating apparatus 4 and the heat pipe and the heating apparatus is prevented from temperature rise.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the density and increase the strength by precipitating carbon base material to bundles of carbon fibers by gas phase impregnation to integrate them. CONSTITUTION:Bundles of 100-20000 carbon fibers of an average diameter of 3-15mum are supplied. These fiber bundles are densed by CVI method to have a fiber volume rate of 35-80% at a residual pore rate of 10% or less. (1) shows each carbon fiber, and (2) shows carbon generated by CVI. (4) shows a carbon fiber bundle to be supplied to a reaction furnace continuously. (5) shows a gas supply means to supply material gas and carrier gas, so flow-controlled gas is supplied to the reaction furnace 6. The reaction furnace 6 is a heating furnace for heating the carbon fibers, and material gas is heat decomposed in the surface of the carbon fibers to be carbonized. The carbon fiber bundle 4 passes some such reaction furnaces, while carbon matrix fills the intervals between the fibers, so a carbon fiber-reinforced carbon wire is manufactured. A high density wire having good mechanical characteristics can thus be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a carbon/carbon composite material having excellent strength and toughness by depositing and packing a carbonaceous substance produced by decomposition of hydrocarbon gas into a reinforced material consisting of a carbon-based fiber while forming the carbonaceous substance into a composite type by a combination of pyrolysis and reaction excitation. CONSTITUTION:A carbon-based fiber produced by rayon, polyacrylonitrile, petroleum, etc., as a raw material is used as a reinforcing material. A hydrocarbon gas such as methane, ethane, propane or benzene or hydrocarbon gas containing a halogen element such as chlorine is prepared. Then, these gasses are decomposed and the resultant carbonaceous substance is deposited and packed into the above-mentioned reinforcing material to provide the carbon/ carbon composite material. In this time, the carbon/carbon composite material is formed into composite type by a combination of pyrolysis of raw material gas or by a combination of specific supply system of the pyrolysis, reaction excitation and raw material gas.

Carbon/carbon composite rod 12 obtained by the first process is oriented into two dimensions or tree dimensions to form a preform 13 of fabric, etc. The above-mentioned precursor is impregnated into the space distributing in the two dimensions or three dimensions in the preform 13 obtained by the second process and then burned or compounded by vapor phase method or in combination thereof to provide the carbon/carbon composite.

A vapor tube 6 guides the liquid phase operating fluid 10 into a condenser 7 in the arrow-sign direction while the liquid tube 8 re-circulates the liquid-phase operating fluid 13 into the evaporator 1 in the arrow-sign direction. The wick 21 is constituted of a whisker type fiber reinforced composite consisting of a whisker type fiber 22 having the diameter of line of 0.1-1 μm, and binding members 23 for binding the whisker type fibers 22 with each other while a porous material is used for the composite.
