    • PURPOSE:To record and erase information without being influenced by an ambient temp. of a magneto-optical recording medium by providing a means for obtaining an optimum output of a light beam from a detected ambient temp. of the magneto- optical recording medium and a bit of information read out by a control track read part. CONSTITUTION:When the magneto-optical recording medium 1 is loaded into the recorder, a digital signal relative to the ambient temp. of the recording medium 1 detected by a temp. detector 2 is inputted to a CPU 31, while a bit of information read out by a control track read part 7 regarding the information of a control track 1b is inputted to the CPU 31. Moreover, the CPU 31 is given calculation contents of an optimum light output that is in recording contents of a ROM 32, given a signal for commanding the optimum light output corresponding to the detected ambient temp. based on the read information to a light output control part 4. Then, since a semiconductor laser 5 is driven by the control part 4 in order to achieve the commanded optimum light output, the light output of the laser 5 is held at an optimum value in the ambient temp. of the recording medium 1. By this method, even when the ambient temp. of the recording medium 1 is changed, information can always and properly be recorded and erased.

    • PURPOSE:To detect a non signal without being affected by noise by providing a non-signal detection circuit detecting the presence or absence of a pulse signal being an output of a data detection circuit and using a signal of digital system via a differentiation circuit so as to detect the non-signal. CONSTITUTION:High frequency noise is eliminated from a signal S1 reproduced from an optical disk by a low pass filter 1 and the result is inputted to a 1st stage amplifier 2. The signal is amplified therein and inputted to an attenuator circuit 3, where the signal is attenuated and the result is inputted to an automatic gain control(AGC) amplifier circuit 4. A signal S2 amplified by the AGC amplifier circuit 4 is inputted to a differentiation circuit 5. The differentiated output S3 is inputted to a recording data detection circuit 7. Its output S4 is given to a non-signal detection circuit 22. The high frequency noise is eliminated in the low pass filter 1, and the low frequency noise is eliminated by the differentiation circuit 5 and non-signal is detected, then mis-detection hardly takes place.
