摘要： PURPOSE:To demagnetize the residual magnetism of a special steel by a method wherein the magnetic flux acting on a material to be demagnetized is so controlled as to vary as positive negative demagnetization negative. CONSTITUTION:U character type magnets consisting yokes 5, magnetic poles 6, 7 and exciting coils 8 are equipped on a frame 10 extending nearly over the whole length of the steel material 1 interposing a nonmagnetic material 9 between them to form the demagnetizing device. When the steel material 1 is an ordinary steel, the demagnetization can be performed simply by making one cycle of the demagnetizing current -i to flow against the magnetizing current +i. When the steel material 1 is the special steel, the demagnetization can be performed comparatively effectively by making one cycle of the demagnetizing current -i' to flow against the magnetizing current +i. Moreover when the special steel is Chrome-molybdenum steel, etc., two cycle demagnetization reversing the polarity proves effective. Namely it forms the demagnetizing pattern of magnetizing +i cut demagnetizing -i' cut reverse directional magnetizing -i cut reverse directional demagnetizing +i' cut. Accordingly even in the special steel, the residual magnetism can be demagnetized.

摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the inspection-impossible area on a curved material to be inspected by winding a DC excitation coil around a U-shaped iron core and attaching an ultrasonic transmission-reception coil to the opposed surface of one leg of the iron core to the material to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A DC excitation coil 2 is wound around a U-shaped iron core 8 with legs 9a and 9b differing in the magnetic path cross-sectional area to constitute a DC electromagnet. The end of one core leg 9a of the U-shaped iron core 8 which has smaller magnetic path cross-sectional area is drawn outwardly, an ultrasonic transmission-reception coil 5 is attached to the opposed surface of the iron core leg 9a to a material 7 to be inspected, and a taper 11 is provided to the opposed portion of a transmission-reception coil protecting case 10 to the material 7. Thereby, the area which cannot be inspected is only the curved portion R. Accordingly, even if the material 7 to be inspected is curved, the area which cannot be inspected can be decreased.

摘要： PURPOSE:To give the specified magnetic flux to steel plate with a small coil, by reducing magnetic resistance by avoiding the air gap between up and lower DC coil iron cores. CONSTITUTION:One end of the iron core 4 is inserted to the magnetic flux guide tube 6 with a clearance C. Although the iron core 4 moves up and down in response to the thickness when the thickness of steel plate is changed, the length of the guide tube 6 is determined so that the iron core 4 is inserted to the magnetic flux guide tube 6 even with the iron core 4 at uppermost position. Since the iron cores 4 and 5 are coupled with the magnetic guide tube 6 like this, no consumption of magnetomotive force due to air gap is made. Accordingly, the specified magnetic flux can be made with a small coil. Further, the iron core 4 and the magnetic flux guide tube 6 have air gap in clearance C, but the value in C is 0.05mm. or less, then can be negligible.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain two functions, that is, reduction of collision sound and prevention against stoppage when a substance to be conveyed such as a steel pipe is rolled and conveyed along inclined rails by a method wherein polarities of magnets arranged on the rails are switched over at a suitable time and shift of magnetic potential is formed. CONSTITUTION:This conveying device for the steel pipe 2 rolled along inclined skid rails is composed of an inner polar magnetic rail 10 and outer polar magnetic ones 11 which are fixed to a york 15 through several inner poles 12 and several outer ones 13 arranged at suitable intervals respectively and exciting coils 14 are wound around the inner pole 12. Here, when these three magnets are described as A-C and the exciting coils 14 are turned on or off as (1)-(4) the magnetic potentials change as shown in the figure. The shift of magnetic potential which has been generated in this way gives rocking to the steel pipe 2 and adds a preventive function its stoppage.
