摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled coated film having excellent resistance to chipping and corrosion by coating an org. solvent-base paint having specified elongation percentage and fracture point stress on a steel material coated with an electrodeposition paint and then applying an intermediate coat and a top coat having specified quality and thickness. CONSTITUTION:When a coated film is formed on the steel sheet of an automobile body, etc., an electrodeposition paint is firstly coated on the steel sheet, then an org. solvent-base paint is coated to form a coated film having >=150% tensile fracture strength elongation percentage and >=20kg/cm fracture point stress and subsequently an intermediate coat and a top coat are applied to obtain cured films having >=30mu thickness in total. In this case, a cured coated film having =300kg/cm fracture point stress must be formed by coating either of the intermediate coat paint or the top coat paint. Consequently, a coated film having excellent chopping resistance, physical performance, corrosion resistance, etc., can be formed.

In addition, the solid concn. of the collected water 6 is made lower tan that of water- based coating material for spray coating and the solid concn. of the water-based coating material for feeding is made higher than that of water-based coating material for spray coating.

摘要： PURPOSE: To facilitate the recovery of spray coating material while enhancing productivity by catching non-deposited spray coating material by a feed sheet provided behind an article to be coated to recover the same and feeding the feed sheet to the original position to circulate the same. CONSTITUTION: A coating material is applied to an article 2 to be coated by a spray coating machine 1 and an endless feed sheet 5 is transferred to a position behind the article 2 to bee coated so as to advance from above to below and non-deposited coating material is caught by the feed sheet 5. Walls 3 are provided around the article 2 to be coated, that is, provided in the up-and-down as well as left-and-right directions to facilitate the catching of the non-deposited coating material by the feed sheet 5. Further, coating material is sucked to the feed sheet 5 by a ventilator 10 to be caught by the feed sheet 5. The coating material of the feed sheet 5 is recovered by a separation/recovery device 8. Next, the feed sheet is washed in a washing zone 9 to be returned to the original position and circulated and used. The feed sheet 5 is composed of an air permeable base material 6 and a belt 7.

After drying, the leather is coated on its surface with a coating containing (A) a copolymer prepared from (i) a polysiloxane macromonomer of 400 to 100,000 number-average molecular weight, resulting from the reaction of 70-99.999 mole % of a compound of formula I (R is a 1-8C aliphatic hydrocarbon, phenyl; R to R each is a 1-4C alkoxy) with 30-0.001 mole % of a compound of formula II (R is H, methyl; R to R each is OH, a 1-4C alkoxy; n is 1-6), (ii) a vinyl monomer containing an aliphatic epoxy group and (iii) a vinyl monomer bearing a hydroxyl group, (B) an organoaluminum chelate compound having six coordination number and (C) a silica fine powder having an average primary particle size of 5-50mum. Then, the coated film is cured to form a delustered coating film.

The content of the fine hollow particle of the component B is 10-40vol.% based on the volume of the cured coating film. The coating process can dispense with the deburring work of the coated article after cutting work and enables the coating work in an improved working environment.

Component C is incorporated in an amount sufficient to provide an equivalent ratio of component C to the total epoxy groups of components A and B of usually about (0.5-3.0):1. In addition, an inorganic filler may be added in an amount of about 30-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the total of components A and B.
