    • PURPOSE:To enable balanced agitation to be effectively performed by performing short period agitation with the different time limit of ON-OFF, plural times. CONSTITUTION:When feed water up to a sensing water level is detected by a water level sensor 26, then electrification to a feed water solenoid valve 24 and a solenoid 7a is stopped, and a motor 8 is electrified, and agitation is performed. In this case, a clutch device 10 is set in a dehydrating working mode, and so a washing and dehydrating tank is rotationally moved up to a proper position so that the clutch device, 10 may be certainly set in a washing working mode. This means that agitation water current with a force stronger than that of cloth quantity detecting agitation so that no clothing can be damaged, and with a force weaker than that of normal washing agitation, is worked to be ON for 0.5 second and to be OFF for 8 seconds, for example, and after that, the cloth quantity detecting agitation is performed. Accordingly, balance effect is displayed with agitation for a less quantity load, in the last shortest period, and with agitation for a rating load, in the first long period. As a result, over the rating load from the less quantity load, balanced agitation can be effectively performed.

CONSTITUTION:About 10KHz high frequency generated by a high-frequency oscillator is applied to a conductive sensor 10 via an insulating transformer 17a, a sensor-reading circuit catches the change of impedance varying with the state between electrodes 10b of the conductive sensor 10 by the variation of the primary side voltage of the insulating transformer 17a and inputs the change to a microcomputer, and the kind and state of a washing liquid within an outer tub 4 and the kind of clothing are detected by the operation for comparing the change with data stored beforehand. Thus, electric conductivities of respective laundry processes such as water supply, washing, rinsing and dehydration are measured, and respective measured values are stored in the microcomputer, compared with data programed beforehand and operated so that it is possible to control the execution time and process of each stroke and to perform the optimum laundry course.

CONSTITUTION:The fast rotation of the washing and dehydration tub 1 with the rotary blade 4 in one direction is performed by rotating the rotary blade 4 in the forward/ backward directions by rotating a motor in the forward/backward directions in washing, and rotating the motor continuously in one direction in dehydration. In such a case, the ratio of the major diameter of the rotary blade 4 to the minor diameter of the washing and dehydration tub 1 is set at 0.5-1, and also, the length of the rotary blade 4 is formed less than the major diameter of the rotary blade 4, and the motor is rotated so as to set the forward/backward rotating speed of the rotary blade 4 at 100-280rpm, and the on-time of the motor which rotates the rotary blade in the forward/backward directions are set at 0.5-5sec, respectively, and the motor stopping off time taken during the on time in the forward/backward rotation of the motor is set at nearly 0.5-1sec.

Then, stirring is executed. In the process of cloth quantity detection, inverted stirring is executed to be turned OFF for 0.4 second and turned ON for 1 second. Then, When a rotary body 6 is rotated by inertia at an OFF time, the electromotive force of the motor 8 is detected by the terminal voltage of the capacitor for motor 8 drive and converted to the direct current rectangular wave pulse. Afterwards, a time t1 between these pulses is measured and the cloth quantity is decided. Width t1 of rising time between a first pulse (I) of a third pulse (II) is measured in the detected pulse for which the both waves are detected. This operation is repeated by twenty times and the total time is compared with relation, which is stored to a microcomputer in advance, between the quantity of laundry and the time. Afterwards, the quantity of the laundry is determined.

Until touching, this hook 1b of exhaust hose 1 is inserted in the center hole 2d of a water distributing pipe fitting choking lid 2 made of a flexible material. This choking lid 2 is equipped with pipe fitting fit parts 2a-2c having different dias. D1-D3 corresponding to pipe fitting 3 (3a-3c) having different bores D1'-D3' mounted on the floor side where the washing machine is installed. The lid 2 mounted on the water exhaust hose 1 is fitted to and detained with the pipe fitting 3 on the floor side where the washing machine is installed. This constitution prevents the water streaming sound at exhaustion from dispersing to inside the room concerned.
