摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute operations from uptake of a video signal up to display drive of a liquid crystal panel at a low speed while suppressing deterioration in display quality. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device is provided with clock generation circuits 1, 2 generating n-stage frequency-divided dot clock of which the cycle becomes n (n>=2) times as high as a dot cycle of a 1st video signal based on a 1st synchronizing signal and the phase varies by the unit of the above- mentioned dot cycle at each frame cycle of the 1st video signal, an input circuit 3 taking the 1st video signal according to the dot of n-divided frequency clock and outputting the digital display data, a frame memory 5 where the digital display data is stored, and a control circuit 4 which generates a 2nd synchronizing signal for a liquid crystal display, also reads out the display data the frame memory, and generates a 2nd video signal.

摘要： PURPOSE: To simplify a scanning electrode driving means by providing specific voltage generating means, voltage switching means and signal voltage conversion means, respectively. CONSTITUTION: The voltage generating means 11 forms two kinds of operating voltages i.e., first and second voltage sources in accordance with a positive driving voltage and a negative driving voltage in the scanning electrode driving means 103. The voltage switching means 12 supplies by switching the first or second voltage source corresponding to an AC forming signal 4. The scanning electrode driving means 103 is operated setting the first or second voltage source supplied from the voltage switching means 12 as the operating voltage. The signal voltage conversion means 13 receives the output voltage of the voltage switching means 12, and converts a row clock signal 106 supplied from the outside to the row clock signal of level corresponding to the output voltage, and supplies it to the scanning electrode driving means 103. In this way, since only the operating voltage corresponding to the positive and negative driving voltages is applied to the scanning electrode driving means 103, its breakdown strength can be saved to the half of the amplitude of an actual driving voltage applied to a scanning electrode.

CONSTITUTION:Each pixel of a liquid crystal panel 120 is alternately connected to two signal driving circuits 114 and 115 in the direction of a line. An alternating current circuit 126 supplies a low level reference voltage and high level reference voltage, having reversed polarity to the opposed voltage of a constant voltage to the two signal driving circuits 114 and 115. Level shifters 110 and 113 transform a voltage level of display data to a voltage level between the low level reference voltage and the high level reference voltage supplied to the corresponding signal driving circuits 114 and 115, and supply it to the corresponding signal driving circuits 114 and 115. The signal driving circuits 114 and 115 operate with the supplied voltage between the low level reference voltage and the high level reference voltage, an drives connected pixels according to supplied display data. Voltage distortion is reduced by making polarity of the reference voltage supplied to the two signal driving circuits 114 and 115 AC with a frame period.
