    • PURPOSE:To obtain a base material capable of holding initial performance for a long period of time by a method wherein a NI-Mg alloy having the predetermined mixture ratio of the elements is sandwiched as a central material between sandwich-materials and all of these materials are uniformly coated with a solvent in which Ni powder has been dispersed, before being heated and combined together. CONSTITUTION:A Ni-15-30%W alloy containing no reducing agents is processed through cold working and the like to prepare a core alloy 7 as a sandwich- material and subsequently a Ni-0.1-2.0%Mg alloy 4 is cast in a mold to prepare a central material. Each of the Ni-Mg alloy 4 and core alloy 7 is uniformly coated, using a brush, with Ni paste 2 prepared by dispersing, for instance, Ni powder having a grain diameter of 1-50u in a solvent of nitrocellulose and the like and these alloys are piled up, before being heated by hydrogen or inert gas and the like to combine them together. Then the materials on either side of the combination at a right angle to the direction in which it has been roll-reduced are welded together. In so doing, it becomes possible to obtain an excellent base material capable of holding initial performance for a long period of time.

    • PURPOSE:To secure a sufficient number of test piece without damage to a steam turbine rotor by arranging a cylindrical test piece big enough for a compression stress to be applied thereon with a thermal expansion during the operating at a center hole of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:The center of a steam turbine is so cut through to use only sound material by removing defects developed during the casting. Heat resistant steel the same in the material as a cylindrical rotor is inserted into the centroal hole and after a fixed time of operation, taken out. Then, a non distructive inspection or a test piece is cut out to observe the texture and measure the hardness thereof thereby estimating the life. The cylindrical test piece is tightly inserted into the center hole and rotated being subjected to a compression stress due to a thermal expansion of both the bodies as the operation temperature rises. Fixed blades 2 are arranged on the circumference of a turbine shaft 1 and a nozzle 3 is provided on the fixed blades 2 while a center hole 4 is made therethrough and a test piece 5 is inserted thereinto.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a member having an Al coated layer with superior corrosion resistance at high temp. by dispersing a grained refractory metal having a high m.p. in a monoaluminide-Al coated layer formed on the surface of a heat resistant Ni alloy by composite coating and specifying the concn. of the grains. CONSTITUTION:A coated layer of a refractory metal having >=1,600 deg.C m.p. and Al is formed on the surface of a heat resistant alloy based on one or more among Fe, Ni and Co, and it is heated to form a monoaluminide diffused and penetrated layer. The refractory metal includes Cr, Ti, Pt, etc., and the concn. of >=1 kinds of the metals on the outermost surface of the diffused and penetrated layer is specified to 13.5-22wt%. The refractory metal is dispersed and precipitated in the monoaluminide-Al coated layer necessarily in the form of grains. When the concn. is below the lower limit, no effect is produced. On the contrary, at a concn. exceeding the upper limit the outermost surface of the Al coated layer is made porous, so the corrosion resistance at high temp. and the mechanical properties are deteriorated remarkably.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the short circuit across electrodes caused by heat cycle under pressure by providing recessed deformation to surround the top side end sections of cathode elctrode films such as a transistor, and gate turn off type or field effect type thyristor or the like. CONSTITUTION:A metal foil 4 consisting of Fe-Ni-Co alloy or the like and deformed to cover all cathode electrode films 111 are provided between the cathode electrode films 111 and a cathode electrode plate 2. As the metal foil 4, the one removed distortion by water cooling after heat treatment and by annealing after rolling is used. The cathode electrode films 111 and gate electrode films 121 shall consist of Al or the like. And, for example, the cathode electrode plate 2 consists of W and is pressed to the cathode electrode films 111 through the metal foils 4 by the pressure of 200kg/cm . Furthermore, the difference in provided at the top sides of the cathode electrode films 111 and the gate electrode films 121 respectively. The short circuit across the electrodes by heat cycle under pressure will be prevented by applying the above procedures.
