The screw 3 of the head is clamped by a motor 30 and a bit 31 while detecting the clamping state by a strain gauge 32. The positional shear of the head due to the residual stress of the screw is removed by loosening and clamping the screw 3 every correction of a base position, so that adjustment by an expert can be omitted and the position can be accurately adjusted.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a position adjusting device which efficiently adjusts the position of a magnetic head chip, by detecting the contacting condition between a head base and eccentric pin and calculating the driving quantity of the eccentric pin with a microprocessor. CONSTITUTION:A strain gauge 23 is sticked to the eccentric pin 8 of a position adjusting device which adjusts the projecting quantity of a magnetic head and the torque quantity of the eccentric pin 8 is measured. When the pin 8 is inserted into a hole 9 and the rotating position theta of a head chip 2 is ''0'', the position of the head chip 2 is recognized by a TV camera 10 and a microprocessor calculates an adjusting quantity S. When the pin 8 is rotated and the torque applied to the pin 8 steeply increases, the microprocessor recognizes that the pointed end of the pin 8 contacts with a head base 3. Upon recognizing the contact, the microprocessor calculates the rotating quantity of the pin 8 by which the pin is to be rotated from the rotating position theta2 of the pin when the previously calculated adjusting quantity S is adjusted and rotates a stepping motor 18.

    • PURPOSE:To attain speedy and highly accurate positioning, by using a rotary motor and linear motors. CONSTITUTION:A command pulse corresponding to a distance to be moved and its speed is applied to a position controller. When receiving the command, a DC motor 6 is turned and a moving unit 10 is moved in the direction of the X axis. The revolution speed and the revolution variable detected from the shaft of the DC motor 6 are fed back. The command also actuates linear motors 19, 20 to move the moving unit 10. The rotary motor 6 changes its torque at the leading and trailing edges. At that time, the movement of the moving unit 10 is charged by the linear motors 19, 20. The final position of the positioning is determined by the rotation of a ball spring 9 driven by the DC motor 6.

CONSTITUTION:When a start signal is applied, a start signal generator 44 sends a signal to a rotating number selector 51. The rotating number selector 51 sends the contents of a preset rotating number register 45 to a D/A converter 52, then a servo motor 16 runs at the assigned speed. On the other hand, a subtractor 55 creates the difference between the data of the rotating angle register 48 and the data of an encoder 32 and sends the same to the data selector 51. When the difference becomes 0, the data are changed over to the preset rotating number register 46 and are sent to a D/A converter 52. In this way, the fins are inserted by ideally accelerating and decelerating the fin feed mechanism. The start signal generator 44 sends the start signal to the data selector 35 of the travelling motor 27 upon receiving of the revolution end signal of the encoder 32, thereby ideally shifting the insertion unit through acceleration and deceleration.
