    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hollow spherical assemblies each comprising compound metal oxide fine particles, obtained by assembling compound metal oxide and forming hollow spherical particles; and to provide a method for producing the same.
      SOLUTION: The hollow spherical assemblies each comprising compound metal oxide fine particles are produced through a process 1 for preparing a clear aqueous solution of an organic metal chelate complex by mixing a metal or its compound and an aminocarboxylic acid-based chelate-forming agent or their metal chelate complex so that a prescribed metal composition is obtained, and producing a powder containing the metal organic metal chelate complex of the added metal by spray drying the aqueous solution, a process 2 for removing the organic components by calcining the powder obtained in the process 1 at at a calcining temperature of 400-1,000°C in an oxygen-containing burning atmosphere, and a process 3 for finally firing the metal oxide powder obtained in the process 2 at a temperature higher than the calcining temperature of 400-1,000°C in an oxygen-containing atmosphere.
