SOLUTION: A heat pipe insertion hole 201c is formed in an inlet side block 201 of a high voltage terminal 2 of a tandem accelerator, one end of a heat pipe 9 is inserted into the insertion hole 201c, and the heat pipe 9 and the inlet side block 201 are bonded so as to transmit heat. Heat generated by the collision of negative ion beams against an inlet 201a of the high voltage terminal is radiated to the outside through the heat pipe 9, and the temperature rising in the inlet 201a of the high voltage terminal is suppressed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the cooling efficiency of a pressure tank and reduce the weight of the tank. SOLUTION: A power is supplied to the rectifying/multiplying unit of a Schenkel-type DC high voltage power supply apparatus from an air-core high frequency step-up coil 2 which is housed in a pressure tank 10 filled with high pressure insulating gas. The whole pressure tank 10 is made of aluminum. If the flux from the step-up coil is applied to the tank 10, an eddy current is induced in the inner wall of the tank 10 and a flux cancelling the applied flux is generated and the flux does not leak out of the tank 10. The heat generated by the eddy current is transmitted through the aluminum material and radiated from the outer surface of the tank 10. It is not necessary to cool and circulate the high pressure insulating gas in the tank 10 and the tank 10 and the interior of the tank 10 are never overheated even if a special cooling means is not employed.

Thereby, polarity of the charged particle is converted, and it is accelerated by a positive ion accelerating tube 4, and is emitted through a deriving tube 13. Thereby, various molecule ions or the like composed of plural atoms can be accelerated, and a neutral particle beam having high energy can be generated.
