    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which effectively achieves protect of an elastic support member and regulation of a movable amount, which decide the performance of an actuator, while suppressing the number of components and the thickness of the whole device, and to provide a method of assembling the same.
      SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device, a lens holder of the actuator 1 is provided with a movable amount regulation means 11. A movable amount regulation means 21 preventing the movable amount regulation means 11 from moving toward the ceiling surface side of a casing 2 and the inner wall of the casing 2 are provided integrally. Accordingly, the contact of the movable amount regulation means 11 with the movable amount regulation means 21 regulates the movable amount of the lens holder 10. The movable amount regulation means 21 can be used as an actuator protection means for protecting the actuator 1.
