    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coffee filter paper for coffee vending machines, which satisfactorily has wet strength, suppressed pulp odor, etc., and good extraction performance of coffee liquid and which is free from problems of the drop of powder, and the breakage and cut of the paper. SOLUTION: The coffee filter paper for coffee vending machines is produced by using kraft pulp and polyethylene terephthalate fiber as main materials. The amount of the polyethylene terephthalate fiber in the total raw material is preferably 25-75 wt.%, more preferably 30-70 wt.%. The coffee filter paper preferably contain a wet paper strength agent to prevent the extraction of pulp/fiber, etc., in coffee filtration. A sizing agent has an effect to prevent the bleeding of coffee liquid to the whole paper layer of the filter paper, and accordingly, the agent is preferably externally added to the base paper of the coffee filter paper.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite filter medium for an air filter which can realize a volume reduction upon incineration.
      SOLUTION: This composite filter medium has a two-layer structure of an upstream-side filter medium layer and a downstream-side filter medium layer. Both the upstream-side filter medium layer and the downstream-side filter medium layer contain heat-fusible fibers having a melting point of 50 to 170°C as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). At least the downstream-side filter medium layer contains heat-fusible fibers and microglass fibers having an average fiber diameter of 0.1 to 1 μm. The heat-fusible fibers are heat-fused to the microglass fibers. Alternatively, the heat-fusible fibers are partly heat-fused to each other.
