    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a depth filter sheet material having improved filtration performance. SOLUTION: The method includes: a step of preparing a flowable aqueous pulp composition comprising a fibrous material and a binding agent; a step of dispensing the flowable aqueous pulp composition in a prescribed amount per unit area onto a water-permeable support 30; a step of at least partially draining the water of the aqueous pulp composition through the water-permeable supports 30 and 38; a step of subjecting at least the partially drained pulp composition to a drying step 36 at an elevated temperature to form depth filter sheet raw materials 40 and 50 comprising a first and second surface sections forming an upper and lower surfaces of the sheet raw materials, respectively, and an intermediate section positioned in between and integrally formed with the first and second surface sections, the intermediate section having a greater permeability than those of the first and second surface sections; and a step of subjecting the sheet raw materials to a treatment in order to remove or displace at least portions of one of the first or second surface section of the sheet raw materials.     • PURPOSE: To receive the weight of a product under the condition that the product is prevented from being damaged, and safely pack the product by absorbing vibration by a method wherein thermoplastic synthetic resin is hardened under the condition that fiber stock, the thermoplastic synthetic resin in which is melted and which is compressed so as to have the density in response to the gap of molds. CONSTITUTION: After the thermoplastic synthetic resin containing fiber stock 11 obtained in waste paper material is heated so as to melt the thermoplastic synthetic resin, the fiber stock 11 is fed between molds 13 and 15 and the melted thermoplastic synthetic resin is hardened under pressure so as to mold a paper packing material 1. Under the condition that the gap t1 between the molds 13 and 15 in response to an upright wall 5 and a flange part 7 is set to be narrower than the gap t2 between the molds 13 and 15 in response to a housing recessed part 9, the thermoplastic synthetic resin, paper fibers and threads in response to the upright wall 5 and the flange part 7 are turned to have high density and high strength due to high pressurizing force. Thus, the product housed in the housing recessed part 9 can be surely received and, at the same time, the external force such as vibration applying at transport or the like can efficiently be absorbed.
