PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter medium for an air filter, which is manufactured by using a glass fiber as a main fiber, wherein the amount of the gas to be generated is made small when the filter medium is used as the air filter and it has a low pressure loss, high collection efficiency and high water repellency.
SOLUTION: This filter medium for the air filter is characterized in that the glass fiber is used as the main fiber and a synthetic resin-based binder and an ether type nonionic surfactant having ≥600 molecular weight are stuck to the surface of the glass fiber.
