    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of charging feed coal into a coke oven which enables an effective decrease of scattering of coke intensity in a carbonization chamber, only taking into consideration the method of filling a compounding coal into a hopper group loaded in charging car and the method of charging the compounding coal into the carbonization chamber. SOLUTION: This method of charging feed coal unto the coke oven comprises filling (i) low intensity compounding coal B into a hopper at a central part of the charging car and high intensity compounding coal A into hoppers at an extruder side and an outlet side, or (ii) the coal B at lower portion of the hopper at the central part and the coal A at upper portion of the hopper at the central part ad into the hoppers at the extruder side and the outlet side. And by open-close timing of the hoppers in the charging car and/or controlling a rate of charging the compounding coal into the carbonization chamber from the hoppers, charging (I) the coal B at a central part of a oven longitudinal direction in the chamber and the coal A at the both end sides of the oven longitudinal direction, or (II) the coal B at a lower portion side of the central part of the oven longitudinal direction in the chamber and the coal A at an upper portion side of the central part of the oven longitudinal direction and at the both end sides of the oven longitudinal direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the increase in carbon removal cost necessary in using high-volatile-content coal without damaging the wall of a coke oven and to greatly contribute to solving the problem of exhaustion of caking coal due to the widening of the limit of coal allowed to use by setting the position for charging high-volatile-content coal into a coke oven chamber near at the wall of the coke oven. SOLUTION: High-volatile-content coal cut out from a hopper is charged to a position near the wall of a coke oven chamber of a chamber oven. A charging car used has a charging shoot which is divided in the direction of the oven width by partition boards 1, 2 into the central charging port C an wall-side charging ports S1 and S2 . Medium- to low-volatile-content coal is charged through the central charging port C, and high-volatile-content coal is charged through the wall-side charging ports S1 and S2 . Thus, high-volatile- content coal can be compounded in a large amt. while avoiding the lowering in productivity due to carbon adhesion troubles or the problems with the acceleration of oven damage.
