    • PURPOSE:To develop a setting wire which has excellent wear resistance, toughness and heat resistance and is light in weight by subjecting a steel wire to a carburization treatment then to a diffusion treatment, thereby forming a chromium carbide layer on the wire at the time of producing the setting wire for a dot impact type setting head. CONSTITUTION:The wire rod made of a high-carbon hard steel as a stock for the setting wire is embedded into powdery carbon and is heated for 2hr at, prescribed 1,000 deg.C by which the surface of the wire rod is carburized and the carbon content is increased to 1.2-1.5wt.%. This wire is embedded into the powder mixture composed of 10:1 powder of Cr and powder of ammonium chloride as a catalyst and is subjected to a heating treatment for 0.75hr at, prescribed 1,000 deg.C to diffuse Cr into the steel wire and to form the hard chromium carbide layer on the surface of the steel wire at about 10mum thickness, by which the carbon content of the steel wire is decreased to 0.6-1.0wt.%. Such wire is subjected to hardening and tempering treatments and is used as the wire for the setting head of a dot impact type.

    • PURPOSE:To extend the life of a printing pin and to perform high speed printing, by constituting the printing pin of a zirconia base composite sintered body consisting of alumina or titanium carbide and yttria-containing partially stabilized zirconia. CONSTITUTION:A printing pin for a dot printer composed of a high toughness, high strength and high hardness zirconia base composite sintered body obtained by compounding a hard phase composed of alumina or titanium carbide with zirconia consists of 5-40vol.% of alumina or titanium carbide having an average particle size of 10mum or less and the remainder of partially stabilized zirconia substantially containing 1-5mol.% of yttria. When the particle size of the hard phase composed of alumina or titanium carbide exceeds 10mum, the hard phase itself acts as a flaw to lower strength and, therefore, said particle size is set to 10mum or less and the quantity thereof is set to 5-40% in order to achieve a role as the hard phase without lowering toughness and strength since hardness is insufficient when the quantity is below 5% and toughness and strength are lowered when exceeds 40%.

    • PURPOSE:To enable a lubricating oil to be used in a wear resisting treatment and to reduce average stress generated in a plate spring, by a construction wherein, a protruding part protruding from a core surface is formed on a yoke surface of an electromagnet, and a corner part of the protruding part is disposed at the boundary of a tongue piece of the plate spring and an armature attracting member. CONSTITUTION:A protruding part, e.g. a spacer 13, protruding from a core surface 15 is disposed on a yoke surface 16, and thereon a plate spring 5 is disposed, and thereon a side yoke 14 is provided. Additionally, the core surface 15 of a core 8 is disposed to be substantially flush with the yoke surface 16 of a yoke 12. A corner part of the front edge of the spacer 13 is set on the yoke surface 16 so as to be positioned at and around the boundary of an elastic part in a tongue piece 7 of the plate spring 5 and a rigid body part, i.e. an attracting member 4, and forms a rotation fulcrum 17 for the rotation of an armature 1. Furthermore, the part on the plate spring 5 inside the side yoke 14 and the part in the vicinity of the core surface 15 at and around the plate spring 5 are each provided with an oil felt 24 impregnated with oil.

    • PURPOSE:To output an image having the gradation of a dot unit to a recording medium, by changing the contact area of a pin with an ink ribbon by changing the force acting on the pin on the basis of gradation data showing a gradation degree. CONSTITUTION:A printing pin 4 is composed of a wire having elasticity and has an inclined surface 12 formed to the leading end part thereof. When the printing pin 4 is struck by weak impact force, only the leading end part thereof is brought into contact with an ink ribbon 5 to print a small dot l13a and, when said pin 4 is struck by the strongest impact force, the pin 4 is bent by said impact force and the whole of the inclined surface 12 is brought into contact with the ink ribbon 5 to print a large dot 13d. CPU 10 outputs the signal operated by a conversion table to a printing head driver 11 on the basis of the gradation data outputted from a gradation data generator 8 to move a printing head 3 and selects the impact force of each printing pin 4 to strike said pin 4.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent high-speed recording wire hawing an improved abrasion resistance, by forming a wire body from molybdenum and forming an inorganic film having high hardness onto the outer circumference at the tip for striking a recording medium in the wire body. CONSTITUTION:A wire body 2 is formed entirely from pure molybdenum. A titanium nitride film 3 of 1-10mum thick is formed as an inorganic film having high hardness over the outer circumferential face 2b at the tip portion of the wire body 2 thus composing a wire 1. Since said wire 1 has the wire body 2 formed from molybdenum exhibiting most excellent features as a high speed recording wire material except abrasion resistance and the tip portion of the wire 1 is applied with a titanium nitride film 3 having high hardness in order to compensate abrasion resistance, the wire 1 is provided with excellent features as a whole and the durability of wire 1 or a recording head is improved resulting in realization of high speed recording.
