    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that erroneous detection may occur because a full-load detection sensor can neither stop for a period of time to identify a full load condition nor detect the full load condition even though a loading part is in the full load condition, since subsequent paper enters before the full-load detection sensor identifies the full load condition after preceding paper passes through the full-load detection sensor, due to shortened paper feed interval.SOLUTION: An image-forming apparatus secures appropriate paper feed intervals through: a step to detect a sign that erroneous detection may occur in a full-load detection sensor by comparing paper feed intervals detected by a paper path sensor with the paper feed intervals detected by the full-load detection sensor; and a step to delay feed timing of subsequent paper for a predetermined time when it is determined that the erroneous detection seems to occur.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erroneous detection of full loading caused by curl of a sheet as compared with conventional erroneous detection. SOLUTION: A full loading determining means determines that the sheet is fully loaded in a lifting loading means when a position detecting means detects that the lifting loading means reaches a lower limit position. A lifting driving means lifts the lifting loading means when determining that the sheet is fully loaded. A first timer means counts elapsed time until a sheet detecting means can detect the sheet again when the lifting loading means rises from when the sheet cannot be detected after the sheet detecting means detects the sheet loaded in the uppermost position. A full loading releasing means releases a determination of the full loading by the full loading determining means when the elapsed time counted by the first timer means exceeds a first threshold value time preset in response to a curl quantity of the sheet.
