摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the collision between a sheet which is newly discharged to a discharge tray and a sheet which has already been stacked thereon, in an image forming device.
SOLUTION: Paper sheets P are fed in the discharging direction R10 through a discharge roller 901 and placed on the discharge tray 91 of a complex machine. A ranging sensor 911 measures the distance between an object located in the direction shown by an arrow R1 and the ranging sensor 911 at the height of the sheets fully stacked on the discharge tray 91. The complex machine stops the discharge of the sheets into the discharge tray 91 when the distance measured by the ranging sensor 911 is equal to or shorter than a specific distance. The specific distance means the distance between the position of the area of the sheets in the discharge tray 91 which is mostly apart from the ranging sensor 911 and the ranging sensor 911.
