摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium; a recording medium stacking unit including a stacking member having a stacking surface on which the recording medium having the image formed by the image forming unit is stacked, an outside member that is located at the outside of the stacking surface so as to extend in a substantially vertical direction to the stacking surface and detachably mounted in the recording medium stacking unit, and a support member having a support portion that supports the stacking member; an outside member recognizing unit that recognizes whether the outside member is mounted on the recording medium stacking unit, or not; and a controller that controls one of a maximum number of recording media to be stacked and a maximum height of stack of recording media in the recording medium stacking unit according to whether the outside member recognizing unit recognizes that the outside member is mounted, or not.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device capable of reducing the size and the cost of the device, and in particular, realizing smooth feed by separately feeding both an original and a recording material by one set of separately feeding mechanisms.
SOLUTION: The image processing device comprises an original stacking means 85 to stack originals, a recording material stacking means 82 to stack recording materials, and a feed roller 81 to feed the original or the recording material from the original stacking means 85 or the recording material stacking means 82. The feed roller 81 is arranged above the recording material stacking means 82, at least a lower end of the recording material stacking means 82 is movable in the attaching/detaching direction to/from the feed roller 81, and the original stacking means 85 is mounted above the recording material stacking means 82 substantially parallel thereto with a predetermined space therebetween. The original stacking means 85 has no supporting part at the position corresponding to the feed roller 81, and is moved associated with the movement of the recording material stacking means 82.

摘要： The typical configuration of an image processing apparatus includes a document stacking means on which documents (S) are stacked, a recording medium stacking means on which recording medium (P) are stacked, and a feeding roller (81) for feeding documents (S) or recording medium (P) from the document stacking means or the recording medium stacking means. The feeding roller (81) is located above the recording medium stacking means, and at least the lower end of the recording medium stacking means is movable in the direction approaching or moving away from the feeding roller (81). The document stacking means is attached above and substantially parallel to the recording medium stacking means, at a predetermined interval. Further, the document stacking means does not have a support portion at a location corresponding to the feeding roller, and is moved as the recording medium stacking means is moved.
