    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric cleaner which can be made compact.SOLUTION: The electric cleaner includes: a dust collection container 22 which has an open face 22b on one end face, is formed in the shape of a cylinder with a bottom having a circular cross section, and has an air flow inlet 22a formed on a peripheral surface; a filter 37 which is disposed on the open face 22b; a dust removal member 33 which removes dust by tapping the filter 37; a receiving surface 50b which is disposed below the filter 37, comprises a flat surface perpendicular to the axial direction, and receives dust dropped from the filter 37 by the dust removal member 33; an inner tube 51 which is open at the receiving surface 50b, extends downward, is disposed coaxially with the dust collection container 22, and has an outlet 51a for the air flow flowing out of the dust collection container 22 formed on the peripheral surface; and a spirally formed flexible slide member 53 which rotates and slides on the receiving surface 50b and guides dust to the inner tube 51.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner of which suction ability is hardly reduced even while dust is sucked, while securing high suction power.
      SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust collecting case for introducing the air containing the dust which has been sucked by an electric blower, a suction port 6 for introducing the air containing the dust in the tangential direction, and a dust storing portion on the other end side of the suction port 6, wherein an opening 321 is provided at a part of a third dust eliminating filter 28, and a dust chamber 322 which stores fine dust 51 removed by a second dust removing means 191 and which is partitioned inside the dust storing portion, is formed below this opening 321. Thus, the fine dust 51 is separated from coarse dust and stored in the dust chamber 322, for further reducing the re-swirling quantity of the fine dust during the operation, preventing from being stuck again to the dust eliminating filter by swirling of the fine dust 51, preventing clogging of the dust eliminating filter and reduction in suction air flow, so that performance of maintaining the suction ability is excellent.

      SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes a dust collecting case 5 for introducing the air containing the dust which has been sucked by an electric blower 21, a suction port 6 for introducing the air containing the dust in the tangential direction, and a dust storing portion 24 on the other end side of the suction port 6. A dust eliminating filter 27 in the dust collecting case 5 is arranged in a wind passage 29a through which the dust collecting case 5 and the electric blower 21 are connected, rotatably by using a rotary driving means. By a swirling air flow in the dust collecting case 5, therefore, the dust is continuously swirled in the dust collecting case 5. As a result, the dust is separated, even when being stuck to the dust eliminating filter 27, from the face of the dust eliminating filter 27. Also, with the rotating dust eliminating filter, localization of dust sticking distribution is prevented, and an intake air passage is constantly secured so as to prevent reduction in suction air flow, so that performance of maintaining the suction ability is excellent.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor cleaning apparatus by which a filter has a longer service life and a vacuum cleaner is operated at a higher cleaning efficiency.
      SOLUTION: A flow control valve assembly is selectively displaceable between a first position wherein dirt and debris are collected in a dirt collection vessel and a second position wherein air is drawn through a portion of the filter to clean the filter. The rotation of a drive gear 74 simultaneously causes the rotation of a cam 94 on the bottom of an air guide member 76. As this occurs, a cam follower 96 follows the movement of the cam 94 to move a telescoping shaft downward. This in turn causes a second open air guide member 118 of the flow control valve 100 to engage the top of a support 64. As this occurs a diaphragm 114 is expanded and an air pathway for normal action is interrupted. Thus, a first flow control valve 80 and second flow control valve 100 are placed in a filter cleaning position.
