    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the friction between an original and an original feed roller and to prevent the original from being broken by providing a means which sets the peripheral speed of an original drum to the peripheral speed of the original feed roller until an original rear end detection switch detects the rear end of the original. CONSTITUTION:When the front end of the original 1 is detected by a sensor S1, original feeding by the paper feed roller 5 is stopped and the front end part of the original 1 stops at the position of a timing roller 7. The original drum 3 rotates in this stage until its claws 8 and 9 are positioned in front of the timing roller 7. The timing roller 7 begins to be driven to feed the original 1 forward and the original drum 3 begins to rotate when the front end of the original 1 reaches the position of the claws 8 and 9. The current rotating speed of the original drum 3 is so set that the peripheral speed is equal to the peripheral speed of the timing roller 7. The original is wound around the original drum 3 continuously and the rear end of the original 1 passes by the position of the timing roller 7; when the rear end further passes through the position of a sensor S2, the rotating speed of the original drum 3 is set to a specific speed required for original scanning.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify an automatic duplex copying work by executing first a reverse side copying of the number of sheets which generates shortage by a jam, storing a form whose one face is copied, in a sub-intermediate tray, changing an original, carrying the form from the sub-intermediate tray to a copying process part, and executing a copying operation. CONSTITUTION:In case when a jam is generated, a form is fed from a paper feed part, and an image of an original which is placed on an original platen at present, namely, a reverse side original which generates the jam is copied to a copying form of a blank sheet of paper. By oscillating downward a one face copied form switching claw 83, the one face copied form on which the reverse side original is copied is led to a sub-intermediate tray 81. After the copying operation of a shortage sheet number portion is ended, the original on the original platen 11 is discharged to an original tray 4, and subsequently, the next original is fed to the original platen 11. In this case, the original which is led onto the original platen is an original of the previous page of the reverse side original in which the jam is generated, and an original corresponding to the surface of the one face copied form which copies the reverse side original stored in the sub-intermediate tray 81. Accordingly, a shortage portion of the form which generates a jam can be supplemented by feeding the one face copied form to a copying process part from the sub-intermediate tray with regard to the original, and executing a copying operation.

    • PURPOSE:To easily align the front end of a paper to the front end of image formation by shifting a lens array in exposure position based upon variable power from a transfer position according to the variable power. CONSTITUTION:An original platen 24 is moved in variable power mode at a speed vo=v/a, where (a) is magnification and (v) is the moving speed of a photosensitive body 1. For example, when a reduced copy is taken, the platen 24 is moved at a speed faster than in unmagnification copying operation. Here, the time aDELTAl/v from when the original platen 24 is moved and a reed switch 32 is turned on to when the front end 25 of an original reaches a scanning start position 30 is DELTAl/v-aDELTAl/v earlier than the time aDELTAl/v when the front end of the original reaches the position 30 in unmagnification copying operation. For the purpose, the distance l2 between an exposure position 3-1 in reduction mode and an exposure position 3-2 in unmagnification mode is set to DELTAl-aDELTAl so that the exposure position 3-1 is at a longer distance to a transfer position 9 than the exposure position 3-2. Consequently, the front end of the paper is easily aligned to the front end of image formation on a recording medium.

    • PURPOSE:To execute easily an adjustment of an exposure light quantity, and to raise the irradiation efficiency by placing unmagnification and variable power use lens arrays at a prescribed interval, providing an illuminating device for illuminating the surface of an original, between these lens arrays, and also using a shutter provided on the upper part of the illuminating device, as an auxiliary reflecting plate, as well. CONSTITUTION:In case of light-shielding an optical path of one lens array, a light irradiation is also light-shielded simultaneously by an illuminating device 25 applied to its lens array, and an exposure start point side by the lens array of the side where the optical path has been selected is illuminated concentrically. That is to say, as for the illuminating device 25, when switching the optical paths of each lens array 18, 19 of a shutter 27, the light irradiation is concentrated to only one exposure start point 22 or 23 by this shutter 27, therefore, the efficiency of the light irradiation is raised. Also, by switching the optical path, the vicinity of one exposure start point 22 or 23 is brought to light irradiation concentrically, therefore, the light quantity can be adjusted separately, and its adjustment can be executed easily. It is caused by a fact that not only the optical path is switched by the shutter 27 but also it is used as an auxiliary reflecting plate, as well.

    • PURPOSE:To easily perform the switching of an exposing optical system in accordance with the selection of 1st-3rd modes and selecting the 3rd mode so that the synthesized image of a 1st original and a 2nd original may be easily obtained by providing a mode selection means and an exposing optical system control means for controlling the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd modes. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st mode is selected by the mode selection means, the exposing optical system control means allows a 1st exposing optical system 3 to perform the image-exposure of the 1st original held by a 1st original holding part 5 on the photosensitive material. When the 2nd mode is selected, the image-exposure of the 2nd original 12 held by a 2nd original holding part 13 is performed by the 2nd exposing optical system 4 on the photosensitive material. In the case of selecting the 3rd mode, the image-exposure of the 1st original is performed by the 1st exposing optical system 3 on the photosensitive material and the image-exposure of the 2nd original is performed by the 2nd exposing optical system 4 in the area of the photosensitive material which is exposed by the 1st system 3. Thus, the switching of the exposing optical systems 3 and 4 is easily performed and the synthesized image of the 1st original and the 2nd original 12 is obtained.
