摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make calibration of conversion parameters corresponding to sensors of various constitution possible in a very simple process, so as to measure correct distance up to an object, by preparing a conversion correspondence table from the relation between output of a light receiver as variable and the distance up to the object. SOLUTION: A light beam is applied from a light source on A point to an object of known distance L, reflected light is received with a light receiver on B point, and received light output υ is obtained. Such measurement is repeated for a plurality of distances L, and correspondence information (L, υ) of the respective distances L and the received light output υ is obtained. Next, by interpolation from a plurality of correspondence information (L, υ), the function L=i(υ) of the distance L of an object setting the received light output υ as variable is obtained, finally the entry number of a look up table (conversion correspondence table) is decided so as to be fit for quantization level of output υ, and a distance L corresponding to an entry is computed from the function L=i(υ) so as to prepare the conversion correspondence table. When measured with a distance measuring sensor, the distance L corresponding to the output υis read out of the conversion correspondence table.

摘要： PURPOSE:To separate memo information written by a color pen with high accuracy by forcibly opening and closing a shutter to obtain a state where the rising/falling characteristics of a electric signal obtained after photoelectric conversion are varied by colors in a document. CONSTITUTION:Reflected light sent from an original 2 where the memo information is written by a color pen is separated into three primary colors by a prism 4A. Each separated color light is transmitted through a shutter 5 which transmits and cuts repetitively each color light with a fixed frequency and the timing shifted for each color light. The light passed through the shutter 5 is condensed again by a prism 4B and a lens 3B and subjected to photoelectric conversion through a photodetecting sensor 6. Then the obtained electric signal is sampled synchronously with the open/close frequencies of the shutter 5. The variation value of the signal intensity is read at the rise and the fall of the electric signal and this variation value is binarized with the threshold value set previously. Then character information written in black is separated from the memo information written by a color pen.

For example, where the aspect ratio of the rectangules is set to be 1:2 and the ratio of the size (length) of the smaller recorded dot to that of the larger recorded dot is set to be 1:2, no less than 9 gradations can be expressed without lowering the resolution.
