摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance uniformity of electric discharge, strength, durability, and operating facility by disposing a band-like electric discharge electrode, and forming into serrated teeth a side edge facing to the opening of a shield electrode. CONSTITUTION:A band-like electric discharge electrode 1 is disposed with one side edge 3 thereof facing to the opening of a shield electrode 2, where the side edge 3 is formed into serrated teeth 4. The tips 5 of the teeth 4 are aligned at equal intervals. Upon application of a high voltage to the electric discharge electrode 1, stable and regular electric discharge is repeated at a high speed laternately between a group consisting of odd numbered teeth 4 of counted from one side of the row and a group consisting of even numbered teeth 4. Consequently, a uniform electric discharge state over the whole electric discharge range can be realized even in the case of negative electric discharge so that a corona discharge tube having remarkably enhanced strength and durability can be manufactured easily at a low cost.

CONSTITUTION:Every second pixel is periodically determined as a low-density pixel 2 or a high-density pixel 3 in a main scanning direction and in a sub- scanning direction. The other pixels between these pixels are determined as low-density pixels 2 or high-density pixels 3. The low-density pixel 2 has a density lower than a density intrinsically and positionally determined per pixel by a fixed value, for example, 1/255. The high-density pixel 3 has a density higher than a density intrinsically and positionally determined per pixel by a fixed value, for example, 1/255. In this construction, a periodic pattern of an image form can be seen reticurately.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase a recording density without changing a dot pitch by generating a dot-like electrostatic latent image at a position where an electrostatic latent image generated by another recording head is interpolated by one recording head of so many recording heads. CONSTITUTION:Dots 4a are generated by a latent image recording part 2 in a recording head 1a, butan interval between the dots 4a in a head direction is double that between dots generated finally on a recording medium 3. An interval between the recording head 1a and a right angle direction (where the recording medium 3 moves) is the same as that between dots generated finally on the recording medium 3, and the doubled interval can be realized by doubling the clock of a recording signal. However, the structure of the recording head 1a is not adversely influenced. The latent image recording part 2b of the recording head 1b is arranged so that it is positioned in the center of the dot 4a, and the dot 4b is generated to complete an electrostatic latent image on the recording medium 3. The same effect is obtained, if more than three sets of recording heads are used.

Then, a mobile supporting roller 22 is arranged on a line connecting a driving roller 16 with the center of the photosensitive drum 14. Therefore, even if the pressure of the transfer roller 60 is applied on the photosensitive drum 14, the photosensitive drum 14 is not affected by the pressure because the photosensitive drum 14 is between two fixed rollers. Thus, the stain of the device caused by the dropping of the toner from between the photosensitive drum 14 and the magnetic roller 40 is prevented, and irregularities in an image accompanying with the contact/ uncontact of the transfer roller 60 does not occur.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make the definition of a projection display image high without increasing the number of picture elements of a display liquid crystal panel and to realize the high definition with small size at low cost by providing a means which shifts the projection image and a means which projects projection areas of the respective picture elements discretely on a screen. CONSTITUTION:An image signal V is divided by a distributor 7 into two images, which are written in frame memories 61 and 62. In a 1st field, an image signal V1 from the memory 61 is sent to a display liquid crystal panel 3, a voltage applied to a liquid crystal panel 1 for polarizing direction control, is turned on, and an image displayed on the display panel 3 is projected and displayed on the screen 10 by a projection lens system 4 with light traveling straight in the panel 1. In a 2nd field, the voltage applied to the liquid crystal panel 1 is turned off, so the light shifts by a distance equal to a 1/2 picture element pitch and the image on the screen is displayed at a position shifting by the 1/2 picture element distance as compared with the image of the 1st field. Consequently, the same picture element can be projected on the panel 3 as two adjacent picture elements in two fields and they can be seen as one high-definition image because of the afterimage effect of the human eve.
