    • PURPOSE:To obtain a recorder which can comprise a normal recording head, easily feed a recording medium, and reduce a misregistration in overlapping colors by using a small-diameter platen. CONSTITUTION:Recording paper 1 is fetched out of a paper supply mechanism. The leading end of the recording paper 1 is fixed by a clamping mechanism 8. The recording paper 1 is wound on a paper feed belt 5 by rotating the clamping mechanism 8 on the paper feed belt 5. At this time, if the clamping mechanism 8 passes between a platen roller 4 and a thermal head 3, the thermal head 3 is required to be retracted by a thermal head retraction mechanism. The rectaction mechanism can be composed of. e.g. a spring and a solenoid. Normally, the thermal head 3 is pressed in a direction shown by an arrow A by the spring to be brought into pressure contact with the paten roller 4. When the thermal head 3 is to be retracted, it can be retracted in a direction shown by an arrow B by turning the solenoid ON.

    • PURPOSE:To make one end of a recording medium tense by its own weight and prevent a recording sheet from running meandering or obliquely without preparation of a special mechanism by providing a clamping mechanism which holds the other end of the recording medium and moves it vertically and a guide part which guides one end of the recording medium downward. CONSTITUTION:After the completion of recording data by the specified number of colors, a thermal head 3 is separated from a platen roller 4 using a DC motor 26 and the platen roller 4 is rotated by a pulse motor 18 to return a recording sheet 1. At the same time, a clamping mechanism 10 is moved upward by a pulse motor 11. If the arrival of the clamping mechanism 10 at a position where it holds the sheet is detected, the pulse motors 11, 18 are stopped and a cam 31 is rotated using a DC motor 32 to separate a movable claw 28 from a fixed claw 27 and subsequently release the recording sheet 1 from the clamping mechanism 10. After that, only the pulse motor 18 is driven to store the recording sheet 1 in a stacker 37.

    • PURPOSE:To constantly maintain recording in a one-dot recording condition, conform control of recording to the conditions for one-dot recording and restrain density from being varied according to record patterns, by separating record dots constituting a block for simultaneous recording from each other by a predetermined number of dots, and recording in a split manner on a block basis so that adjacent dots are not recorded in a continuous manner. CONSTITUTION:The collectors of driving transistors 7 of a thermal head are connected to a common electrode 2 through discrete electrodes 3 and heat generating resistors 1, respectively. A strobe signal 9 is applied to one input of each AND circuit 8, whereas image data 10 is applied to the other input, and the output side of the circuit 8 is connected to the base of the transistor 7. The resistors 1 for simultaneous recording are separated from each other by i (i >= 5) dots, and adjacent ones of the resistors are prevented from being energized to record in a continuous manner. Therefore, each of the resistor is not effected by the thermal history of the surrounding resistors, and recording can be performed in a one-dot recording condition.

    • PURPOSE:To permit designated colors to be realized exactly according to the different conditions of faces to be transferred by providing a select signal generator to select whether to store input recording signals in any of the first and second memory circuits and a line data-forming circuit to detect the conditions of faces to be transferred by output signals of the first and second memory circuits and recording signals. CONSTITUTION:When recording signal of Mazenta is applied to an input terminal 1, the second memory circuit 4 is selected by a signal from a select signal generator 2. Recording signal for one line is put in the circuit 4 and a line data-forming circuit 5, and recording signal of yellow previously recorded is put in the circuit 5 concurrently from the first memory circuit 3. In the circuit 5, the recording signal of Mazenta is divided into a flat ink surface condition B, a flat paper surface condition A, and a recessed paper surface condition C, line data for each are formed, and signals showing the three conditions are supplied to a control circuit 6. Current of pulse width corresponding to each condition is supplied to the control circuit 6.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain uniform recording density, by estimating the degree of the effect on the heat accumulation of a thermal head from a recording cycle and a printing ratio and calculating the correction quantity of heat accumulation from the cumulative value thereof at every row and the circumferential temp. before the heat accumulation of the thermal head and setting the recording time of the thermal head from said correction quantity and an optimum recording time in a heat not-accumulated state. CONSTITUTION:A recording cycle 9 calculating a recording cycle from a data source 6 and a printing ratio counter 8 similarly calculating a printing ratio therefrom at every one line are mounted. Further, a heat accumulation correcting circuit 10 for estimating the heat accumulation quantity of a thermal head 7 from the recording cycle and the printing ratio to set an optimum recording time to be applied on the basis of the obtained correction value and a thermal head driver 11 supplying a current to the thermal head 7 on the basis of the output of said circuit 10 are mounted. By setting the optimum recording time based on the correction quantity of heat accumulation by this constitution, uniform recording density not affected by the circumferential temp. and heat accumulation of the thermal head 7 can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To smooth staircase-shaped parts of a character by detecting slanting edges of an original pattern by using a standard pattern and using a corresponding slanting pattern having a predetermined density distribution as recording data when a slanting edge is detected. CONSTITUTION:The standard pattern 8 is moved on the original pattern by one picture element at every time, density values of reference picture elements corresponding to respective picture elements of the standard pattern 8 and an aimed picture element 6 are multiplied by values on the standard pattern 8, and the sum of multiplication results as to the respective picture elements is calculated, thereby judging a slanting line that the standard pattern 8 has when the sum is larger than some threshold value. When a slanting edge is judged, it is used as recording data on picture elements of the corresponding slanting pattern 20 of the standard pattern 8. A figure shows that picture elements 9 and 10 correspond to a slanting pattern in a figure (i), picture elements 11 and 12 to a slanting pattern in a figure (j), a picture element 13 to a slanting pattern in a figure (k), and a picture element 14 to a slanting pattern in a figure l.
