摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a picture processor capable of saving the picture memory by a semiconductor memory. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with an encoding device 16 compressing and encoding the picture data to be inputted in fixed length. The encoded data which is compressed and encoded in fixed length by the encoding device 16 is stored in a hard disk 24 through a buffer 18 for encoded data being a toggle buffer. Thus, the picture data can be stored in the hard disk 24 at constant speed and the data amount after the compression is decided in advance and the capacity of the buffer 18 can be reduced to the absolute minimum. Thus, the semiconductor memory by one screen is not required and the device can be made inexpensive.

The recording part 14 records the image data so that the ratio of the resolution (e.g. 600dpi) of the recording part 14 which reduces and records the data and the resolution (e.g. 600dpi) of a recording part which can record the data to specified fixed form size is proportional to the ratio (reduction ratio) of the length of the side of the specified fixed form size (A4) and the length of the side of fixed form size (A6) smaller than the specified fixed form size of actual recording. Consequently, the outputted image is reduced without deteriorating.

摘要： PURPOSE:To stabilize the recording of half tone images by a method wherein irradiation rays from a laser diode array wherein a slit-like light emitting area has a long axis in a sub-scanning direction are generated by driving the laser diode arrays for a period corresponding to the density at each area corresponding to each picture element. CONSTITUTION:An LDA is made up of (n) pieces of laser diodes 41, 42,...4n wherein light emitting areas 31, 32,...3n are arranged on a GaAs substrate 1. An auxiliary scanning picture element pitch XB is equal to the length of a long axis of the LDA, and a main scanning picture element pitch XA is three times the width of a short axis or more and irradiation rays scan in an X direction. If the time it takes to scan the pitch XA of one unit picture element is taken to be (p) and, for example, all the (n) pieces of laser diodes constituting the LDA are simultaneously energized for a period of tp=p/16 while scanning is being conducted in the main scanning direction and if the LDA is not energized for the remaining period p-(p/16), in the former case, bright part is generated and dark part is generated in the latter case, and hence a half tone picture element which is 1/16 of a unit picture element is obtained.

Thus, a space is formed between the holding member 11 and the photosensitive drum 1 and the photosensitive drum 1 can be easily taken out from the space. Simultaneously, a new photosensitive drum can be easily installed through the space.

The position of the left side end of a heating element electrified on the basis of the detecting signal D is determined by the controller 13A. A section corresponding to one line of a picture image is recorded by the thermal head 1. The final line of the picture image is decided by the controller 13A. The last color of the picture image is judged by the controller 13A on the final line of the picture image. Pressure welding to the thermal head 1 of the ink film 10 and the recording paper 11 is released in order to overlap another color and conduct recording on the last color of the picture image.

CONSTITUTION:Recording dots of a specified pattern are recorded on a recording medium 7 in advance by means of a recording head. Then, light is projected to the recording medium 7 in which the specified pattern is recorded from a light source 8, and its reflected light L is introduced into a light sensor 10 through a lens 9. After that, its detected signal S is converted to a binary value by a binary conversion circuit 11 of a recording density irregularity detection device 6. Then the size or density of recording dots is calculated by a calculation means 12 consisting of a microcomputer to obtain correction information on the recording density irregularity and correct a drive signal for a recording head. Thus, a long periodic recording density irregularity due to the unevenness of a thermal head can be eliminated.
