    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer with sufficient usage preventing deterioration of a heating means even if leakage of moisture content is generated in an emergency.
      SOLUTION: The garbage disposer is provided with a stirring means 5 for stirring an article to be treated in a treatment vessel 2; and a heating means 11 for heating, if necessary, the treatment vessel 2 and is made to a constitution that partition ribs 21a, 21b are provided between a petty face of the treatment vessel 2 penetrated with a shaft of the stirring means 5 and a surface provided with the heating means 11. Even if water or the like flows down on the petty face of the treatment vessel in the emergency, it can be prevented from being transmitted to the heat means side by the partition ribs 21a, 21b. In the garbage disposer with sufficient usage, corrosion and deterioration of the heating means 11 are not generated.

A nonmetallic magnet holding section 17 which rotates together with the stirring means is provided at the stirring means and the magnet 18 is mounted on the magnet holding section 17. Approach of the magnet 18 is certainly and accurately detected by the magnet's approach detecting section 19. Further, by providing the magnet holding section 17, a speed reduction gear composing the driving device 5 can be formed of a metallic material to attain miniaturization. Thus, the garbage treating apparatus, the apparatus body of which is miniaturized while certainly executing rotation detection of the stirring means 4 by the magnet, can be provided.
