    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a three-dimensional data in real time and improve the operability by measuring the three-dimensional shape of an object by using a slit light and an image pick-up means consisting of an optical detector and mapping a color picture of the three-dimensional shape. SOLUTION: A slit light 12 emitted from a laser slit light source 1 is scanned by a rotary mirror 2 in a rotational direction, and it is directed to an object 15. A picture picked up by a PSD camera is obtained as a three-dimensional shape of the object 15 by a picture analyzing part 10 through an A/D conversion memory part 9. Further, its color picture is picked up by a color video camera 3 and the color picture is subjected to mapping to the three-dimensional shape. A controller 7 controls turning on or turning off of the light source 1 by means of a laser control circuit 6, and turns the rotary mirror 2 by means of a rotary mirror control circuit 5. A rotating mechanism is controlled by a controller 7 so that the object can be picked up at a desired angle.

    • PURPOSE:To simplify the use and reference of still images both at transmitting and receiving sides by transferring a plurality of still images to another television conference apparatus and accessing the continuous still images from both apparatuses on the transmitting and receiving sides for displaying the image. CONSTITUTION:A data control part 4 freezes motion images input from a camera 10, an image encoding part 5 compresses them to give titles and time stamps to continuous still image data to manage as a continuous still image, and after still image edition such as display, deletion and storage, the data is stored in a file device 6. At the time of transmitting to an opposite site, a communication control part 3 is used to transmit the continuous still image and its management table. Incoming data is similarly stored and managed in the file device 6 via the communication control part 3. Thus both transmitting and receiving sides can store and manage the continuous still image, motion images, voices and still images can be mixed to realize a television conference.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve amplification characteristics in a low loss optical circuit of a simple structure by disposing a total reflection mirror having a filter function at one end of a rare earth-doped fiber. SOLUTION: The filter type multiplexer 4 is produced by disposing a filter element 1 which reflects the whole signal light component (wavelength λ1) and transmits the exciting light component (wavelength λ2) on the interface between the end faces of a rare earth-doped fiber 2 doped with Er, Nb, Yb or the like and a normal optical fiber 3 The filter element 1 is a kind of a low pass filter which transmits the wavelength of exciting light and reflects the wavelength of signal light. When signal light (wavelength λ1) enters the filter from the rare earth-doped fiber 2 and exciting light (wavelength λ2) enters from the optical fiber 3, the signal light is reflected by the filter element 1 to propagate in the opposite direction through the rare earth-doped fiber 2, while the excited light is transmitted through the filter element 1 to propagate through the rare earth-doped fiber 2. Therefore, the signal light and the exciting light are multiplexed and amplified in the rare earth-doped fiber 2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output characteristic of an optical fiber amplifier by performing feedback control by adding the output of an input signal light monitor to a means which controls the driving current of a semiconductor laser for excitation as a feed forward compensation signal. SOLUTION: A control circuit 11 detects the power of the output signals of an input signal light monitor 6, a monitor 7 for output light of semiconductor laser for excitation, and a monitor 9 for output light of the semiconductor laser for excitation. The control circuit 11 tries to maintain the output gain of an optical fiber amplifier at a fixed level even when the level of input signals largely fluctuates by controlling a semiconductor laser 8 for excitation while controlling the feedback of the power which is outputted from a rare-earth doped optical fiber 5 and supplied from the monitor 9 branched from a coupler 3 for output signal monitor through a WDM coupler 2 to the input side. Therefore, an optical fiber amplifier having an extremely small control deviation can be obtained.
