    • PURPOSE:To obtain a head with a higher reproduction output and higher stability by forming a magnetoresistance effect film and a non magnetic conductive thin film continuously in vacuum in the manufacture of a magnetoresistance effect type head. CONSTITUTION:An insulation layer made of alumina or the like is formed in a thin film, a Sendust is formed on a non-magnetic substrate 10 subjected to a precision grounding by sputtering as lower shield film 17 to be patternized after a specified shape by a photolithography art and an alumina insulation film 19 is formed thereon. FeMn is formed in a film as magnetic domain control film 12 to be patternized after a specified shape. At the point, the magnetic domain control film 12 is removed at the central part of a magnetic domain resistance effect element and a part leaving the magnetic domain control film 12 undergoes a switched connection to a magnetoresistance effect film 13 to make a structure for controlling a magnetic domain structure thereof 13. Then, a process of form ing the effect film 13 and a process of forming a non-magnetic electroconductive thin film 11 are performed continuously in vacuum. This enables the formation of the magnetoresistance effect element part without containing oxygen in a production process thereby achieving the production of a head with higher stability.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a problem that a reproduced waveform is distorted or noise occurs after recording by reducing the reproduced output in accordance with the rise of an operating frequency by the structure where magnetization of a magnetic core is practically refluxed in a plane orthogonal to a magnetic path. CONSTITUTION:The front end of a magnetic core 1 has a refluxing magnetic domain structure in a plane orthogonal to a magnetic path 4. Since magnetization is refluxed in the plane orthogonal to the magnetic path 4, the magnetic core is magnetized by magnetization rotation because magnetization in any magnetic domain is orthogonal to the magnetic field from a medium, and a magnetic wall is not moved. Therefore, the discontinuous magnetization change does not occur and magnetization is easily operated at a high speed, and consequently, the reproduced waveform distortion is difficult to occur even if the transfer speed is increased, and the reduction of the reproduced output is reduced. Thus, the high frequency permeability of the magnetic core is increased, and a large reproduced output is obtained, and waveform distortion and noise after recording are difficult to occur.

    • PURPOSE:To enlarge a reproducing output and to improve a recording property by forming the axis of easy magnetization orthogonally with the magnetic path direction of a magnetic head and rotating the direction of the axis of easy magnetization by an anisotropic magnetic field reduction processing for one of upper and lower magnetic cores at least. CONSTITUTION:A lower magnetic core 1 is laminated on a ceramic base 8, an organic insulating layer 4 is laminated on the lower magnetic core 1 and an upper magnetic core 2 is laminated on the layer 4. The upper and lower magnetic cores 2 and 1 are joined at one end and at the other end of the both cores 2 and 1, a magnetic gap 3 is formed. In the joining part of the both cores 2 and 1, a coil 6 is formed to be wound around plural times. One of the both cores 2 and 1 at least is formed by a non-crystalline material including more than 80at% Co or a crystalline material including more than 20at% Co, and the axis of easy magnetization is made orthogonal to the magnetic path direction of the magnetic head. Concerning the thermal history of this thin film magnetic head, by leaving it in non-magnetic field at about 200 deg.C for about two hours, an output decrease rate is made less than 10% in comparison before left standing.
