    • PURPOSE:To obtain the potential stability and sensitivity at the time of repetitive use by incorporating a specific tetraazaporphyrin deriv. and specific tetraazaporphyrin metal complex salt deriv. into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the tetraazaporphyrin deriv. expressed by the formula I and the tetraazaporphyrin metal complex salt deriv. expressed by the formula II are incorporated into the photosensitive layer. The photosensitive layer of a separated function type formed by using the photosensitive layer contg. the pigments expressed by the formulas I, II as a charge generating layer and laminating a charge transfer layer contg. a charge transfer material thereon is more particularly preferable as the form of the photosensitive layer. The extremely high sensitivity is obtd. in this way and the excellent potential stability at the time of repetitive use is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity characteristics and potential stability characteristics at the time of repeated uses by adding a specified disazo pigment in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body has on a conductive substrate the photosensitive layer containing the disazo pigment represented by formula I in which A is a coupler residue having a phenolic OH group and each of R1 and R2 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, optionally substituted aryl, such aralkyl, or cyano. Since a film containing this pigment has photoconductivity, the electrophotogrhic sensitive body is constituted by vapor depositing it or disspersing it into a proper binder to form a photoconductive film and using it, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be high in sensitivity and superior in potential stability, especially, at the time of repeated use.
