    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device, enabling accurate detection of abnormality even if abnormality occurs in a rotation angle sensor and a yaw rate sensor so as to perform return control without lowering of steering feeling. SOLUTION: A CPU computes a neutral angle θc from a relative steering angle θa obtained from a motor M by a relative angle computing part 60 according a rotation angle sensor E and a yaw rate Y detected from a yaw sensor 70 by a neutral estimation computing part 282A, and obtains an absolute steering angle θ according to these by a handle absolute angle computing part 281. When both θ and Y are monitored and only one of them changes, abnormality is decided by an abnormality determination part 80, handle return control at handle return control parts 1, 2 (26, 28) controlling depending on θ and angular speed ω is suspended.
