      CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic servo drum 3 is composed of a ring shaped member 3c having a barrel shaped section 3b on an outer circumference 3a, a coupling section 3d, and an outer circumference barrel shaped member 3h having a bulkhead guide plate section 3f which is extended from the one end 3e of the coupling section 3d in an axis direction and is opened in radial to guide the bulkhead plates 2a and 2b of a friction material 2 and being extended in the same direction as that of the bulkhead guide plate 3f at the side of an outer circumference with another end 3g of the coupling section 3d bent. For this reason, the piston area of a friction clutch can be made to be optimum design size causing the friction clutch to be compact.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent foreign matter from entering a drain port by disposing a bank higher than a projecting portion formed on the upper surface of a valve body in the periphery of the drain port of a hydraulic control device of an automatic speed change gear. CONSTITUTION:In a valve body 1 incorporating a hydraulic control device of an automatic speed change gear and being opened upward, which is installed at the lower portion of an automatic speed change gear case, there is provided a bank 8 higher than a projecting portion formed on the upper surface of the valve body 1 in the periphery of a drain port 7 opened upward. Accordingly, discharged oil which drops or flow down on the upper surface of the valve body from a transmission gear will not enter the drain port 7, but flow down in a lower oil pan from the lowest position in the upper surface of the valve body. Thus, foreign matter such as chip in the discharged oil can be prevented from entering the drain port.

Thus, the condition of low car velocity and large throttle opening requiring driving force can be automatically detected from acceleration to change the speed to the optimum speed change step and high/low speed step, so that the optimum speed reduction ratio can be obtained. Accordingly, the optimum driving force is applied to wheels to improve running performance.
