    • PURPOSE: To prevent copper powder from sticking to a die and to improve productivity by reducing the number of die changes, by arranging a roll die in front of the 1st stage die and drawing a material at a ≥ specific reduction rate of area, in drawing an annealed wire material by using a wire drawing machine provided with multistage dies.
CONSTITUTION: A roll die is arranged in front of the 1st stage die of a wire drawing machine provided with plural stage of dies, to draw a material at a ≥15% reduction rate of area. Even in case of a low-speed drawing succeeded by an enamel baking process, the dies are free from the sticking of copper powder and the surface of a drawn wire is beautiful. Accordingly, the productivity is improved by reducing the number of die changes. When the reduction rate of area is less than 15%, the sticking of copper powder may occur.
