    • PURPOSE:To reduce air stream sound, spark sound generated from a pantograph by providing a long soundshield cover in which an upper end and right, left ends are supported to lateral beams of gate shape struts and which has a roof shape section and extends along a railway track. CONSTITUTION:Right and left main poles 3 are erected at right and left ends of a track face at suitable intervals. A lateral beam 4, intertruss bracings 5, suspenders 6 for coupling upper ends of the right and left poles 3 are provided, and all covered with pantograph soundproofing covers 1 to prevent from vibrating. A fastener 1-4 fixes an outer board 1-1 of an iron plate to porous materials 1-3. An air layer 1-2 is provided to reduce transmitted sound from the cover 1 and to being about a higher sound shield effect. The shorter the interval between the lower end of the cover 1 and the roof the car is, the smaller the influence of noise propagation is and the higher the sound shield effect is. The cover 1 is mounted on the car without impairing the appearance, and which generated by the pantograph, noise due to slide between the shoe and the trolley wire, and spark noise can be also reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the traveling resistance, aerodynamic noise by using only one upper frame and one lower frame in the longitudinal direction supporting a collector shoe at the central part and using a ball spline bearing as a supporting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The outer surface of an inner cylinder 17 to which the central part of a collector shoe 18 is fitted is inserted into a ball spline bearing 16 formed in a surface shape of a ball spline shaft and fitted in a bore of an outer cylinder to be assembled. A force rotating the shoe 18 in a horizontal plane and a longitudinal force, a lateral force, a deviated load to be applied to the shoe 18 are all supported by the bearing 16. The shoe 18 is smoothly moved by a rolling contact of balls of the bearings 16 in a vertical direction without rotating in the horizontal plane. Since the cylinder 17 for mounting the shoe 18 is elastically supported by an elastic element 19 such as a coiled spring, etc., from the bottom of the outer cylinder in a vertical direction, it follows a small deviation of a trolley wire during traveling by the coiled spring and a large deviation by a frame. Further, the outer cylinder 15 is vertically held by a verticality maintaining unit.
