    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm control mechanism for an imaging apparatus enabling preview by a set diaphragm value when a subject is observed, the mechanism having few time lags before an exposure operation in photographing and having high design flexibility of a mechanism moved while interlocking a diaphragm.SOLUTION: The diaphragm control mechanism comprises: a diaphragm drive member movable to a diaphragm open position and a minimum diaphragm position; an opening hold cam provided on a rotary cam member and configured such that the diaphragm drive member is held at the diaphragm open position when the rotary cam member is at its original position and movement of the diaphragm drive member in the direction of the minimum diaphragm position is allowed by rotation of the rotary cam member from the original position; diaphragm fixing means configured such that the diaphragm drive member is unlocked when the rotary cam member is at its original position and locks the diaphragm drive member at a set diaphragm value when the restriction of the movement of the diaphragm drive member by the opening hold cam is released; and selective lock release means provided on the rotary cam member and configured such that the diaphragm fixing means is unlocked from the diaphragm drive member when the rotary cam member is rotated in a first direction, and the unlocking of the diaphragm fixing means is not carried out when the rotary cam member is rotated in a second direction.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of keeping an exposure constant before and after changing a focal distance even in the imaging apparatus which controls a size of an opening diameter of a diaphragm in accordance with variation in the focal distance and uses an ND filter.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: a lens group (1, 10) including a magnification lens; a diaphragm (4); an imaging device (16); and an ND filter (7). An exposure value including an opening diameter of the diaphragm is determined in accordance with a brightness of a photographic subject, and in the case where a lens position of the magnification lens is changed after determining the exposure value, the opening diameter of the diaphragm is corrected in accordance with the lens position before and after changing the magnification lens so that a light quantity of a subject image incident to the imaging device may not change before and after changing the lens position of the magnification lens in a state of exposure controlled by the determined exposure value (S103, S104). In the case where the opening diameter of the diaphragm is corrected, the position of the ND filter is corrected in accordance with the lens position before and after changing the magnification lens (S106, S107).
