    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method and device for detecting and correcting tilting image data in an image processor. SOLUTION: Binarization processing is applied to received image data to obtain binary image data, the obtained binary image data are rotated at a plurality of different angles of rotations to obtain a plurality of rotated binary image data, respective transverse pixel values of the plurality of rotated binary image data are totaled for each binary image data to obtain a plurality of transverse pixel value distribution curves, and high-pass filtering processing is carried out for removing a low frequency noise to obtain a plurality of high frequency signal curves. The sum of squares of values expressed with the respective frequency signal curves is calculated to obtain a plurality of indexes, and rotation correction processing is applied to the image data according to the angle of rotation corresponding to the maximum value in the obtained index values to obtain corrected image data.
