SOLUTION: In the in-mold coating mold constituted so that molds are opened at a predetermined interval after the thermoplastic resin molded article is molded in the cavity formed by the molds to inject a predetermined coating agent in the gap between the surface of the obtained thermoplastic resin molded article and the cavity surface of the molds by a coating agent injection machine and the molds are again clamped after the injection of the coating agent is completed to cure the coating agent in the molds to manufacture the molded article wherein the coating agent is closely bonded to and integrated with the surface of the thermoplastic resin molded article, a sub-cavity constituting a part of the back surface of a main cavity and a projection, which is projected into the sub-cavity on the inner side of the outer peripheral part on the coating surface side of the sub-cavity and has a large leading end having an inverted trapezoidal shape, are provided to the outer entire periphery of the main cavity and a high temperature part is provided to the projection having the inverted trapezoidal shape.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die for in-mold coating and an in-mold coating method by which a molded article, wherein a paint is closely attached on the surface, the end surface and the rear surface in the vicinity of the end surface of a thermoplastic resin molded article, can be efficiently manufactured by a minute die-opening motion of the die. SOLUTION: After molding the thermoplastic resin molded article in the die, the die is opened by a specified gap, and a specified coating agent is injected in the space between the surface of the obtained thermoplastic resin molded article and the cavity surface of the die by a coating agent injecting machine. After the injection of the coating agent is completed, the die is clamped again, and the coating agent is hardened in the die. Thus, the molded article, wherein the coating agent is closely attached and integrated on the surface of the thermoplastic resin molded article, is manufactured by this die for in-mold coating. In such a die for in-mold coating, a movable core, an inverted trapezoidal shape protuberance, and a gate are provided. In this case, the movable core communicates/shuts off a main cavity and a subsidiary cavity which extends to the total outer periphery of the main cavity, and at the same time, constitutes one section of the main cavity. The inverted trapezoidal shape protuberance protrudes in the subsidiary cavity on the coating surface side, and of which the distal end is larger. The gate can control a valve which feeds the molten resin in the subsidiary cavity.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sink mark of a crystal resin by slightly opening a die after the die is opened and a molten resin is first injected, the die is clamped and shaped while molten resin is then injected in a die cavity and shaped, providing a gap between the molding and the cavity, and clamping the die while surface resin is capable of being flowed after a given time. SOLUTION: A polypropylene resin of a molten state in a die cavity clamped by a mold clamping unit 300 and in an injection unit 200 is metered by a first injection timer 533. At the time of elapsing a given time after completion of filling, a movable die 404 is retracted so that a gap between the molding surface and the cavity surface becomes a given value. A pressure holding state is maintained for a given time after the first injection, and then a second injection is executed. At the time of elapsing given time, the mold 404 is advanced, the die is again clamped, a thick part generated by the secondary injection is corrected, shaped, and held for a given time. Then after a given time is elapsed, a gap is provided as a heat insulation layer between the surface of the molding and the surface of the cavity, held for a given time, the die is clamped and then opened. Thus, a sink mark can be prevented at the thick part of a crystalline resin.
