    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a transmission torque capacity of a planetary roller mechanism.
      SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the planetary roller comprises a fitting process for fitting pinion rollers 23-1 and 23-3 between a plurality of portions 32-1 and 32-3 and a sun roller 21 by applying tensile forces to the plurality of portions 32-1 and 32-3 arranged at equal intervals in the circumferential direction of a ring roller 22, a rotating process for rotating the pinion rollers 23-1 and 23-3 along the circumferential direction of the ring roller 22 at an angle of 90° after the fitting process, and a fitting process for fitting pinion rollers 23-2 and 23-4 between the plurality of portions 32-1 and 32-3 and the sun roller 21 by increasing the tensile forces applied to the plurality of portions 32-1 and 32-3, respectively, after the rotating process. By repeating the fitting process in a plurality of times, the pinion rollers 23-1 to 23-4 are fitted into the ring roller 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power transmission efficiency in a planetary roller device capable of changing normal force applied to the mutual contact parts of rollers, according to the torque of the rollers.
      SOLUTION: A carrier 34 is restrained in its rotation by being fixed to a casing 20, and a carrier 24 is connected to the casing 20 through a spring element 26 having elasticity with respect to the circumferential direction of a ring roller 22. When torque is transmitted between a sun roller 21 and the ring roller 22 and applied to the carrier 24, the carrier 24 is rotated relative to the casing 20 to generate phase difference between the carriers 24, 34. The force of the ring roller 22 pressing each pinion roller 23 to the sun roller 21 side, i.e., normal force applied to the contact parts 27, 28, is thereby increased.

      SOLUTION: When positively rotating torque operates on the ring roller 22, a recessed portion 35 of the ring roller 22 is hitched on a protruded portion 31 of a thrusting ring 25 and the positively rotating torque operates on the protruded portion 31 through the ring roller 22. The protruded portion 34 of the thrusting ring 25 is hitched on a recessed portion 36 of a casing 20, accordingly, and the protruded portion 34 receives reversely rotating torque as reactive force from the casing 20. The thrusting ring 25 fastens the outer peripheral face of the ring roller 22 with the torque on the protruded portions 31, 34 in the mutually opposite directions to thrust the ring roller 22 to the side of the pinion roller 23.
