    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug with which the decrease of wrinkles per cold drawing can be made larger without generating seizure compared with a conventional method.
      SOLUTION: This plug is a plug which is inserted into a metallic tube at cold drawing and a first cylinder part, a second cylinder part and a taper part are respectively continuously formed in the middle, at one end of both ends and between the first and the second cylinder parts. The outside diameter of the first cylinder part is D1 (mm), the outside diameter of the second cylinder part is D2 (mm) larger than D1 and the taper angle of the taper part is θ (degree). The plug of this invention satisfies inequalities (1) to (3). 0.08≤Δh≤0.20 (1), 5≤θ≤25 (2), Δh≤-0.005θ+0.275 (3) and, where, Δh=(D2-D1)/2.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the manufacturing costs of a stainless wire rod by setting the wire rod temperature in the outlet side of a continuous rolling mill at a specified value or above in the case of cold reducing the outer diameter of a stainless steel raw wire rod with the continuous rolling mill. SOLUTION: The outer diameter of the raw wire rod SW in the ordinary temperature state made from stainless steel difficult to work, which is recoiled with a recoiling machine 1 and continuously fed through the inlet guide 2, is continuously cold rolled to reduce with the continuous rolling mill 3 and the wire rod is coiled with a coiling machine 4. At this time, the wire rod is rolled under the condition that the material temperature in the outlet side of the continuous rolling mill 3 becomes >= (Md point +50) deg.C. When the material temperature in the outlet side of the continuous rolling mill 3 is >= (Md point +50) deg.C, the higher the better. However when it becomes too high, since seizure is possibly generated between the material and a pass roll depending on a material, the upper limit is preferable kept at e.g. (Md+150) deg.C.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a hollow screw having high dimensional accuracy with a simple manufacturing process by cold-rolling a metallic pipe with three or four rolling rolls respectively equipped with annular grooves while the pipe is inclined. CONSTITUTION:A metallic pipe 4 is cold-rolled by means of rolling rolls 1, 2, and 3 constituting one set of tilt rolling mill of three pieces provided on the rolling position of a pass line while the pipe 4 is moved in the axial direction. The rolls 1, 2, and 3 have the same conical radii alpha1 and alpha2 on both in- and out-sides and the shafts of the rolls are inclined so that the shaft ends on the same side can be faced to the same side. In addition, the shaft ends can be brought nearer and separated farther to and from the pass line side. Then plural annular grooves 10 are provided in the peripheral direction to the part of the rolls, where the distance between the outer peripheral surfaces of the rolls and the pass line are shorter than the radius of the outer peripheral surface of the pipe 4 passed through the section, at appropriate intervals in the axial direction. Since a hollow screw 5 is manufactured by cold-rolling the metallic pipe 4 by using such rolling mill, the dimensional accuracy and straightness of the hollow screw 5 can be improved.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stainless clad screw at the drawing stage by inclined rolling by joining the outer layer stock of a stainless steel by fitting it to the peripheral face of the core stock of a carbon steel or low alloy steel. CONSTITUTION:After hot rolling a carbon steel or low alloy steel as a core bar 11 it is formed in the columnar or bar shape of circular section having specified length and diameter by executing grinding. Then, it is subjected to degreasing and cleaning and plating is executed or N foil is rolled on the peripheral face. As an outer layer stock 12, the welding pipe with a stainless steel as the material or seamless pipe is subjected to cold working after subjecting to hot extrusion or hot rolling and formed in the cylindrical body of circular section having specified length, outer diameter and thickness and the peripheral face is degreased and cleaned. The outer layer stock 12 is then outer-fitted to the core bar 11 and made a clad blank stock 10 by sealing the boundary part 13 at both end parts by welding. The clad blank stock 10 is then heated and rolled as well by drawing by the inclined rolling mill having three or four cone type rolling rolls having plural grooves in the peripheral direction and the stainless clad screw having spiral fins on the outer peripheral face is obtd.

    • PURPOSE:To enlarge the dimensional range capable of production and to reduce a production cost by providing the conical roll having the annular groove whose interval is gradually widened by specified number on a cross-interaction slanted rolling mill and performing hot drawing rolling on a circular sectional metal stock. CONSTITUTION:Three-four pieces of conical rolling rolls 1-3 are formed as the same conical half angle alpha to compose a cross-interaction slanted rolling mill. The rolling rolls 1-3 from the same inclination and cross axes angle and are arranged at equal intervals for a pass line. Plural annular grooves with intervals gradually widened are formed on the rolling part in order to form a spiral projection bar toward the outlet side from the inlet side on each roll. When the circular sectional metal stock 4 having the outer diameter D1 larger than that DF of a product is subjected to warm rolling by this slanted rolling mill, the product dimensional shape can freely be set. Due to the mechanism being simple, the equipment cost can be reduced. And the dimensional range capable of production is enlarged and the production cost is reduced as well.
