    • PURPOSE:To accurately detect an image even in case of rain, by constituting the title apparatus so that the image of the outside is detected through a transparent window held to the state immediately after a bonded substance is removed by a wiper. CONSTITUTION:A unidirectional sensor 3 detects an image outside a case 1 through a transparent window 2 while moves in a predetermined direction within the case 1 while a wiper 5 moves in the state brought into contact with the outer surface of the transparent window 2 mounted to the case 1 to remove a bonded substance such as a raindrop from the transparent window 2. A means for controlling the unidimentional sensor 3 and the wiper 5 performs control so that the image detected by the sensor 3 becomes the image A at a the position immediately after the wiper 5 moves and passes. By this method, in case of rain, the unidimensional sensor 3 can detect the image outside the case through the transparent window held to the state immediately after a raindrop is removed by the wiper 5.

    • PURPOSE:To attain a high speed access by fitting a focusing coil and a tracking coil, which respectively move a lens holder in a focus direction and a track crossing direction, to a magnetic circuit device and moving this magnetic circuit device in the track crossing direction. CONSTITUTION:Each detection is executed by a focus track error detector and a signal detector in an optical device based on a reflected light L2. Focus control is executed by flowing a current, which is based on a focus error signal by the detection, to a focusing coil 27, moving a lens holder 6 in up and down directions, namely, in a focus direction F and causing an objective lens to hollow the surface oscillation of an optical disk LD. Track control is executed by flowing a current, which is based on a track error signal by the preceding detection, to a tracking coil 26, moving the lens holder 6 in a width-wise direction, namely, in a track crossing direction T in a magnetic circuit device 4 and causing the objective lens to follow the deviation of the track of an optical disk surface LDa. Thus, the super-high speed access can be executed.

    • PURPOSE:To display information only when the information is required so as to secure the safety of car drive by detecting the operation of a steering wheel and displaying only the information regarding the obstacle in the direction corresponding to the operation of the steering wheel. CONSTITUTION:A sensor section 11 is composed of sensors SS1 and SS2 which detect obstacles on both right and left sides of a vehicle and sensors CS1 and CS2 which detect obstacles behind the vehicle on both sides. The detect output of the sensor section 11 is supplied to an obstacle detecting section 13. The detecting section 13 constituting a calculating means together with a degree-of- danger calculating section 14 calculates presence/absence, scale, distance, etc., of an obstacle from the detect output of the sensor section 11 and outputs the calculated results to the calculating section 14. On the other hand, a sensor 15 detects the turned angle of the steering wheel of the vehicle and supplies the detected results to the calculating section 14. The calculating section 14 calculates the degree of danger from the output of the detecting section 13 and a degree-of-danger displaying section 16 which works a displaying means makes a display corresponding to the calculated degree of danger so as to inform the driver of the degree of danger.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure the high-speed follow-up property of high-speed track control by using a control coil to drive an objective lens directly thereby lighting the weight of a moving part and attaining high-speed access. CONSTITUTION:A collimated light beam from an optical system 20 of an optical head is reflected by a mirror 45 at right angles through holes 33, 44 of an objective lens holder 30 and a carriage 40 and converged on a recording face of an optical disc 1 by an objective lens 32. The reflected light from the disc 1 is returned to the optical system 20 via the lens 32 and the mirror 45, and the focus track error and the signal are detected. The electromotive force by a current flowing to a focus control circuit 34 based on the detected error signal and the magnetic field in magnetic gaps 25-1, 25-2 of magnetic circuit members 21-1, 22-2 is received by a control circuit. Then the lens 32 is moved vertically along a cylinder 42 of the carriage 40 to apply high-speed focus control and track control coils 35-1, 35-2 ensure the high-speed follow-up property.

    • PURPOSE:To curtail the number of movable members, and to make a device small in size and light in weight by providing two pieces of objective lenses and one piece of mirror on the movable member placed between two pieces of optical disks, and executing a control to the opposed disk. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of optical system 20-1, 20-2 are placed on the outside periphery of two pieces of optical disks 8-1, 8-2 which have been attached to a spindle so as to be turnable. Also, in an objective lens holder 30 provided between the optical disks, objective lenses 31-1, 31-2 are contained, and in a mirror holder 34, a mirror 35 is contained. In this state, an optical beam is sent nd received by one objective lens 31-1 and one optical system 20-1, and the other lens 31-2 also executes the same operation. Therefore, a focus control, a track control, and an access control to each disk can be executed, the number of movable members is decreased and the device can be made small in size and light in weight.
