    • PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown and damage of the title member by using Zr or its alloy as a material for a movable part for press holding a product such as aluminum brush to be treated and a moving support part for movably supporting the movable part while in electrical contact with the part, and fixing the support part to a structural part made of Al or its alloy. CONSTITUTION:Through hole 11 is made in protrusion 10A out of right and left protrusions 10A, 10A' of channel-shaped member 10 made of Al or its alloy in parallel with the longitudinal direction of bottom part 10B. The inside of Zr or Zr alloy cylinder (moving support part) 12 inserted in hole 11 is provided with female screw 13. Zr or Zr alloy bolt (movable part) 14 is engaged with screw 13 to press product 15 to be treated, e.g. aluminum brush, which is held between bolt 15 and protrusion 10A'. Member 10 is fixed to an Al or Al alloy main line (not shown) for attachment and current supply by welding.

    • PURPOSE:To produce an Al alloy member having superior bonding strength in a high yield of starting material by compacting Al alloy powder solidified by rapid cooling and by subjecting the resulting green compact to heat treatment, preliminary hot die forging with hermetically sealed dies and hot die forging under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:Al alloy powder produced by atomization or other rapid cooling method is compacted to about 70-80% density ratio by pressing in dies. The resulting green compact is heated to 300-520 deg.C, held for 15min-3hr and subjected to preliminary hot die forging at the temp. with hermetically sealed dies to increase the density ratio to >=95%. The preliminarily forged body is heated again to 300-520 deg.C and subjected to hot die forging at 20-50% working rate to destroy oxide films formed on the surfaces of the Al alloy particles and to bring the metallic particles into contact with each other and into solid phase diffusion. Thus, an Al alloy member having high bonding strength is produced in a high yield of Al alloy powder as starting material.
