    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyether emulsion type defoaming agent composition free of a variation of its defoaming performance as well as a viscosity change and separation of the emulsion due to a temperature change, exhibiting stable usability, defoaming property and preservability in all seasons independently of the temperature of the environment and excellent in stability even when diluted. SOLUTION: The emulsion type defoaming agent composition contains 5-50 wt.%, in total, of (A) at least one compound of the formula: R1 O-(R2 O)m -OH (where R1 O is a group derived from an 8-18C alcohol; R2 O is a group derived from a 2-4C alkylene oxide; and (m) is a number of 1-80) or the formula: R1 O-(R2 O)m -OCOR3 (where R1 O is a group derived from an 8-18C alcohol; R2 O is a group derived from a 2-4C alkylene oxide; (m) is a number of 1-80; and R3 OCO is a group derived from a 13-19C fatty acid), (B) at least one compound of the formula: R4 OCO-(R2 O)n -H (where R4 OCO is a group derived from an 8-18C fatty acid; R2 O is a group derived from a 2-4C alkylene oxide; and (n) is a number of 20-100) and (C) an anionic surfactant. The weight ratio between the components (A) and (B) is (50:50) to (80:20) and the component (C) is contained by 0.05-5 wt.% of the total amount of the components (A) and (B).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely make harmful metals and organic chlorine compounds harmless by treating waste with a waste treating agent containing titanium oxide, and phosphorous acid or the like and/or phosphinic acid or the like under light irradiation. SOLUTION: Waste is treated with a waste treating agent, for example, under the irradiation of a light beam of 450 nm or less wavelength to make it harmless. The used waste treating agent may be that in which titanium oxide, and phosphorous acid or the like and/or phosphinic acid or the like are mixed, or it may be that in which phosphorous acid or the like and/or phosphinic acid or the like are carried on titanium oxide. Here, as phosphorous acid or the like, phosphorous acid, sodium phosphite, or the like is preferable, and as phosphinic acid or the like, phosphinic acid, sodium phosphinate, or the like is preferable, and as titanium oxide, that of anatase type is preferable. Particularly, as temperature at which solid waste is treated, 600-1000 deg.C, and particularly 600-900 deg.C are preferable. The added quantity as solid contents of the waste treating agent is preferably 0.01-50 wt.% of the waste.
