摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is hard to surely fix selenium by a method in which a solid waste material is treated by adding only a metal fixing agent in the case when the selenium is contained in the solid waste material such as incineration ash or fly ash and the problem that an additive such as ferrous chloride, aluminum sulfate or iron polysulfate must be added in an amount of 30 wt.% or more based on the weight of the solid waste material so as to fix selenium in the solid waste material in the case when the selenium is fixed by a method using the additive such as ferrous chloride, aluminum sulfate, iron polysulfate or the like together with the metal capturing agent. SOLUTION: The method of fixing selenium in the solid waste material comprises adding a reducing metal chloride and a metal fixing agent containing a dithiocabamic acid group and/or a thiol group to the solid waste material containing selenium.

In the waste treatment method, the waste treatment agent is added to waste such as liquid, solid or gaseous waste containing heavy metals and harmful elements forming oxoanions and heavy metals and harmful elements forming oxoanions in waste are detoxified in the presence of water. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that the amount of incineration ash or fly ash to be discharged from a refuse incineration installation is increased following the increase of the refuse amount, and consequently, an attempt is conventionally made to reduce the volume of the incineration ash or the fly ash by thermally melting it in order to facilitate the after- treatment of the ash and that, as the molten fly ash generated during the thermal melting of the incineration ash or the fly ash containing metals, contains a highly concentrated metal, the molten fly ash containing the highly concentrated meta needs is immobilized by the help of a metal trapping agent so that the elution of the metal from the molten fly ash after treatment does not occur and this purpose, a large amount of the metal trapping agent has to be added, which is, however, uneconomical, and further that especially in order to certainly treat the neutral molten fly ash in view of the possibilities that the immobilized metal may be eluted, a large amount of the metal trapping agent needs to be added beyond the known level of its dosage, resulting in an extremely high treatment cost. SOLUTION: This method for treating the neutral molten fly ash is characterized in that the pH value of an eluate from the molten fly ash after treatment is adjusted to 9-11 and the metal in the molten fly ash is immobilized by adding an alkaline compound and the metal trapping agent to the neutral molten fly ash whose eluate shows the pH value of 9 or below under an elution test of the Japanese Environmental Agency notice No.13.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently fix metals in molten fly ash generated in a heat melting process in a step for reducing the volume of the ash recovered in a refuse incinerating step by adding an alkaline earth metallic compound to the molten fly ash. SOLUTION: An alkaline earth metallic compound is sprayed on, added to or mixed by kneading with molten fly ash separated from waste gas generated when incineration ash or a mixture of the ash and fly ash is melted by heating to fix metals in the molten fly ash. The alkaline earth metallic compound is preferably magnesium hydroxide. A fatty acid or its salt and/or a carbamic acid compound may be used in combination with the alkaline earth metallic compound.
