    • PURPOSE:To purify and remove a smell in an electric foot warmer through a catalyst action by a method wherein a porous covering layer containing a catalyst material is formed on the surface of at least the one of an electric heat generating substance and a heat reflecting plate. CONSTITUTION:A porous covering layer 15 containing a catalyst material formed on the surface of an electric heat generating body 1 is formed in a manner to cover the electric heat generating substance 1 therewith. Thereby, infrared rays radiated in the direction of a whole periphery from the electric heat generating body 1 are radiated to the porous covering layer 15, the porous covering layer 15 is rapidly heated. A catalyst material carried therein is activated in a short time. Meanwhile, a fan 2 is also started simultaneously with energization of the electric heat generating body 1, air in a foot warmer and below the fan is sucked and approximately horizontally discharged through a fan heat reflection plate opening part 3. Air in the foot warmer is fed in the electric heat generating body 1 mounted around the fan 2. When a smell component in air makes contact with the electric heat generating body 1, rapid oxidation purification is effected through the catalyst oxidation action of activated catalyst material in the porous covering layer 15 formed on the surface of the electric generating body 1, and the oxidation purified air is discharged as odorless air in the foot warmer.

    • PURPOSE:To remove odor or harmful gas in atmosphere where a heater device is placed, enable a small amount of fuel to be easily burned in a stable manner and shorten a pre-heating time by a method wherein an inner surface of a pipe member having an electrical resistor stored therein is formed with a catalyst covering layer and then combustion gas consisting of fuel and combustion air is fed into the pipe. CONSTITUTION:When current is applied to an electrical resistor 3, heat rays are radiated from the electrical resistor 3 outward in entire circumferential directions. Since a catalyst covering layer 1 is provided to cover an inner surface of a pipe 2 having the electrical resistor 3 stored therein, the heat radiated from the electrical resistor 3 is directly radiated to the catalyst covering layer 1. Radiation heating of the catalyst covering layer 1 having a low heat capacity and conduction heating are carried out. The catalyst covering layer 1 is heated up to its active temperature within a short period of time to be at a high temperature. In turn, the electrical resistor 3 also heats odor substance in the air sent by a fan 4 into the pipe 2. Then, this odor substance is brought into contact with or diffused in the catalyst covering layer 1 heated up to its active temperature and then oxidization of odor and purification of the gas is rapidly carried out under its catalyst action.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-radiating body with a simple structure to remove malodor and harmful gases by forming a catalyst coating layer comprised of an activated alumina, silica, and platinum-group metals on the surface of a quartz tube in which an electric resistor is built. CONSTITUTION:A heat-radiating body is comprised of a quartz tube 2 in which an electric resistor 1 is built and a catalyst coating layer 3 consisting of an activated alumina, silica, and platinum-group metals and formed on the surface of the quartz tube 2. Since the catalyst coating layer 3 is formed on the surface of the heat-radiating body, the heat-radiating body heats the object to be heated and also the catalyst coating layer 3, and since the catalyst coating layer 3 covering the surrounding of the heat-radiating body 3, it absorbs heat efficiently owing to the heat radiation and transmission of the electric resistor 1 and is heated to the activation temperature of the catalyst within a short time. Furthermore, since the catalyst coating layer 3 contains silica, adhesion strength to the quartz tube 2 becomes high and heat transmission from the quartz tube 2 is carried out speedy. In this way, ambient malodor and harmful gases are cleaned and removed by the catalytic function.

    • PURPOSE:To improve productivity and mass production for obtaining comfortably heating by coating the tubing surface with a far infrared ray radiation material by a transcription method. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a visible ray part light transmitting tubing is coated with a far infrared ray radiation material by a transcription method. Practically, far infrared ray radiation transcription paper for coating the tubing surface is manufactured by a method wherein firstly a far infrared ray radiation material is allover-or pattern printed on ground paper for transcription whereon a water-soluble paste layer is formed by plate screen printing followed by simple overcoating. By performing printing here in a relatively large area, production of a large number sheets of far infrared ray radiation material transcription paper required for coating one tubing surface becomes possible. Also after a larger quantity of far infrared ray radiation material transcription paper is produced at a time, a small quantity of production corresponding to all kinds of needs become position by care and storage thereof. Thereby, productivity and mass production are improved for being able to be used as a home heating equipment having an immediate effect and continuous comfort.
